Not only did they sound the part, they looked the part - completing a true portrait of rock 'n'roll. But their debut is more than just aggressive guitar rock, it's well composed songs with brilliant guitar solos by Slash and some great, emotional singing from Axl Rose - these were songs about pain and destruction.
