Title: GN'R on ESPN's Top Comebacks Post by: kyrie on April 03, 2010, 12:02:26 AM http://espn.go.com/espn/page2/?topId=5050080
31. Guns N' Roses With "Appetite for Destruction," "G N' R Lies" and the two "Use Your Illusion" albums, Guns N' Roses became the biggest rock band in the world by the early 1990s. Then they stopped releasing original material and began shuffling their lineup. Lead singer Axl Rose teased the masses by promising that a new album, "Chinese Democracy," was definitely coming. In late 2008, more than 17 years after the "Use Your Illusion" albums were released, it finally arrived. And we loved it. But did anyone else? (Seriously, how did "I.R.S." not get more airplay?) Posted today on ESPN's Page 2. Title: Re: GN'R on ESPN's Top Comebacks Post by: faldor on April 03, 2010, 12:21:52 AM Good find. Pretty cool, especially considering it's a (the) SPORTS site, although there are a few other non-sports comebacks on there. Nice comments though, couldn't agree more.

Title: Re: GN'R on ESPN's Top Comebacks Post by: ChiDem2010 on April 03, 2010, 07:31:07 AM I agree with it all. I like the fact that Guns hasn't announced anything concerning a US tour. Tour everywhere else to get back in the media and stuff and people here in the states will start to wonder when they will tour here. At least thats my perspective. I hate the fact that Guns is a US band but is better received anywhere else. Kinda odd to hear a GNR shout out from ESPN though.

i mean, i think its great, great music, but its more of a "if your fan you'll love it" rather than "check this new music out, this new band rocks" i thinks its a guns n roses record, and its like that, i dont think it was ever going to be AFD or whatever, i think its an amazing album, but its just the wrong time for this kind of music |
