Title: Paradise Taken from Slash Post by: BumbleBuzz on March 20, 2010, 06:55:02 AM Due to legal reasons, Slash's collaboration with BLACK EYED PEAS singer Fergie (a.k.a. Stacy Ann Ferguson) on a new recording of the GUNS N' ROSES classic "Paradise City", also featuring CYPRESS HILL, has had to be withdrawn from the limited-edition deluxe version of Slash's upcoming self-titled solo debut.
Fans should note that a brand new track, "Back From Cali" (featuring Myles Kennedy) has now been added and that the exclusive "Baby Can't Drive" (featuring Alice Cooper and Nicole Scherzinger) still remains. As for the playing, he can play them all he wants... I have no idea why he would want to put a re-recorded version of paradise city on his new record. There is obviously a problem with the legal side of this, whether it's to do with the rights to the song or anything else is anybodys guess.

if it were a legal issue, he'd be sued for putting it on the Sahara single which to my knowledge he hasnt been sued... It is a brilliant idea IMO. Kinda the Run Dmc/Aerosmith walk this way its just it needs Axl to do it with an awesome current big time rapper.. like an Axl,Eminem,50 cent kinda collab which would be off the charts with Axl singing the chorus. problem is, only hardcore fans would be the ones hearing it unless he released it as a single. as for legal problems, while all the band members have ROYALTIES, i believe paradise is the intellectual property of only slash, axl and duff.
