Fergie shone the brightest during her solo turns, belting out three songs from her 2006 album, ?The Dutchess,? including a bouncy rendition of ?Fergalicious.? She also starred in the biggest surprise of the show, rising up through a trap door alongside special guest Slash, who delivered an intricate and propulsive guitar solo as Fergie sang the lyrics to ?Sweet Child O? Mine,? a classic from Slash?s days in Guns N? Roses.

This rock ?n? roll interlude was extended one song too long when Fergie and Slash performed ?Beautiful Dangerous,? a track from Slash?s forthcoming solo album. The tune wasn?t anything special, but as history has shown, Slash?s playing is consistently engaging, even when the material is weak.

Judging from this performance alone I don't know how anyone can say this song is great. Eddie Trunk must have been on crack when he heard it.  :nervous:

Despite of the bad audio I liked the song, it is not a "great"song but it has a very catchy tune and chorus. Slash's solos at the end was cool as well.

So far not so good with the Stockdale and Fergie songs for me, will give Fergie another listen when the studio version surfaces though..

That was pretty awful.  I'm sure the studio version will be MUCH better than that though.  Fergie looks good.  That was by far the best part of the video.

It hurts when a poor version of the song is released first... Leaves a bad taste in your mouth...

Chorus is very strong , but the verses sound off. Without a pro-recording I'm not dismissing the song but I if Trunk said this is the strongest one.....he HAS to be wrong.

Yes, I like By the Sword more than this one, bad audio or not.  Slash seemed to rip it pretty good on the solo though!

Already growing on me.  Fergie sounds killer!

I liked it a lot.  2 for 2 so far, and I'm not even big on Fergie or Stockdale, but I like their contributions to the album so far.  Very catchy chorus.  Don't really know why some people wouldnt like it, other than the obvious because it's Slash and in order to be a GNR fan you have to hate him apparently.  His playing is great as always, I'm happy with the record thus far.  That "Paradise City" with Cypress Hill sucked though, Im happy hes not putting that on the album.  Thats a cool fun bside thing to do, def not album worthy.

Nothing based on the above for me, just didn't care for the Stockdale tune and can't really get a good feel for the Fergie track live.

Most interested in the Astbury, Lemmy and Iggy tunes..

the audio isnt that good... but i really liked it.. liked it much better than the stockdale tune..  really lookin forward to hearing the studio version. 

In all fairness.  I don't know how anybody could like that.  And I'm not a Fergie basher either.  I just thought that particular performance was awful.  Her voice wasn't nearly as strong as it needed to be to match the music.

Again, I'm sure the studio track will be MUCH better and I'm looking forward to hearing that.  But this is one video that I'll file in the "never watch again" category.

And in fairness, I don't believe you can judge anything off of a shitty youtube clip.  That's why I'm not ready to trash this song altogether.  But this, this didn't do anything for me.

Other than the chorus and outro which sound good, I can't make anything of it. While I don't think this will be one of the 'stronger' songs on the album, I have a feeling it will be quite popular.

oh yeah her performance wasnt good, but the song was.  What ive heard of the studio song is very good. 

Doesnt blow me away, but it sounded quite good.  couldnt hear it too well though.
The outro playing was cool and the chorus was catchy.  and its DIFFERENT.....

listened to it a few times- Like the main riff & solo from Slash. It's pretty hard actually. & Fergie brings a more pop sound to it, especially with the chorus. Sounds like a movie song. Definitely catchy, whether or not it's just a novelty or stands the test of time remains to be seen.

BTW : couldn't help but wonder how Perla feels about Fergie's sexy dancing & slobering all over Slash- the look on his face kinda was like "oh shit, I'm in trouble!" :nervous:

personally I like the song structure and vocal meloday; the sound on this recording wasn't the best and it may not have been the best live vocal performance; but it sounds like a cool tune and I'm looking forward to hearig the studio recording of it

I would hope that she's smart enough to know that it's only a performance.

I believe this song it would work perfectly with Sammy Hagar on voices.

"I'm sure there were some people who were surprised that she was on the album, but to me that's just ridiculous! Fergie is an amazing singer and she's hot! Who wouldn't want to work with someone who is as hot as she is?"

Sounds promising. I wasn't crazy about the you tube live version of By The Sword, yet I like the studio version.

So, I'll wait for the studio version of Beautiful Dangerous to "feel" it.

def need to hear the studio version b4 i say anythin. the SCOM performace was pretty good tho. funny how both axl and slash were playing SCOM on the same night  around the same time from different places.

That makes me wonder why Slash didn't get Sammy to sing on a track on his album, that would've been killer!

Legendary guitarist Slash (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES) performed his new solo song "Beautiful Dangerous" with the BLACK EYED PEAS this past Saturday night (March 13) at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. In his review of the show, Bobby Reed of the Chicago Sun-Times writes of the track, "The tune wasn't anything special, but as history has shown, Slash's playing is consistently engaging, even when the material is weak."

no in all seriousness though i think its cool and that Slash did a good job balancing out legends like Iggy, Lemmy, Ozzy, with more current/relevant singers like Stockdale, Fergie, M Shadows, the Maroon 5 guy etc.  The songs I am looking forward to the most are all the songs with the younger guys/girl.  Im not even remotely looking forward to the Ozzy song, and   i love Ozzy, but whats the point?

Kinda reminded me of the guitar duel in Crossroads, minus the duel obviously. 

I think it sounds fantastic, to be honest. Based on this, and the clips of the rest of the album, this song could end up being one of my highlights of the entire album. Fergie sure can rock. :)

yeah based on the evidence, if slash were to record a rock record with Fergie, I would definitely buy it and definitely see them in concert
