- The band that played before Bach (Forgotten Boys) was very good, I'll check them out for sure. - Bach was very good, I'm amazed at how much energy that dude has. - Some idiots were very impatient, it wasn't even 9:00 and people were already angry at the opening bands. - Speaking of impatient idiots, apparently someone decided to throw a bottle of something to "punish" Axl for the delay. I hope that idiot got kicked the fuck out of there. I was so fucking glad and into it when they started, CD as an opener is fantastic (with Ashba's shadow playing the opening lines... just great). I was kind of freaked out when Axl stopped the show, me and my brother just stared at each other. - I wasn't DJ Ashba's biggest fan before this show, but he absolutely owned it. He's got an incredible stage presence, absolutely fantastic. - Ashba's guitar didn't work on his solo, he had to get a new one. It was specially funny seeing that after his usual "check me out" routine. ;D - Fortus always looks super into it, but I swear he looked even more into it tonight. I think he was having a good time. - Dizzy's hilarious without saying a word. - Bumblefoot and Tommy were great as always, but honestly they didn't get a lot of attention on the screen. :-[ - Frank Ferrer... no comment. - Despite the bump at the start Axl seemed to be in a very good mood. He didn't speak much but he joked about the idiots shouting "fuck axl" by starting a Fuck Axl chant himself. At the encore he was practically the entire time picking up banners and gifts people would throw at the stage and showing them. Only one I got to read that I can remember was "Don't worry mom, Axl is watching me tonight". - You couldn't hear Axl at all at parts, there sound problems througout the show. That was frustrating. His voice was ok, and specially great in This I Love, Jungle and (as usual) Nightrain. With the sound problems and the loud audience you could barely hear a word in SOCOM for example. YCBM and NR were also big hits. - Early in the show Axl called in a "translator" when he asked the crowd to take a step back. It seemed he was more interested in getting closer to that translator though. :hihi: All in all fantastic night. I hope to see them again soon. Edit: enough edits, I gotta get some sleep! A number of times she has said on TV she is a hardcore GnR fan and the crazy things she did to see them live last time they came to Sao Paulo ( she was too young to go but went anyway) and how she used to look like Axl because of the hair and clothes she wore as a teen. Maybe is for the new DVD, who knows. After hours, and hours, and hours, talking, playing cards, singing. And after two horrible bands, finnaly Bach and Band were on stage. THEY WERE AWESOME. At once, the house lights were on, and Bach was amazed with the crowd size. His songs really pumped the crowd and he even played a song from his next record! After one hour of Bach, and another hour of stage preparation GNR was in. The LCD screams where Axl reads the lyrics were having problems, a guy from the crew kept like 40 minutes trying to turn it on, so we pushed a "DUMB!" chant.... lol The rest you already know..... Axl's voice was AWESOME, and Fortus and Dj's energy in stage is great! Once I saw Fernando and Chris drinking and dancing in the middle of the songs, lol, I thought "Chris should be playing, shouldn't he?". When Dizzy was about to do his solo, he came to the piano doing a little dance, it was very funny! Ron was also very funny, as always, but Axl was the funniest. When he said STOP in Chinese Democracy, the 1st tiem he said looked like he was changing the lyrics, or something like this, but he started to "STOP! STOOOOOOOOOOOP!" Then everyone said: FUDEU! When he said Stop a billion of securitys ran there where he was, and he did the rant everyone already knows.... The rant was very funny, but in the rest of the cocnert, Axl seemed happier than ever. He took everything that the crowd gave to him, teddy bears, TONS of roses (he sticked them everywhere), brazil's flags, brazil's football team t-shirt written AXL ROSE, flags with lots things written. And the FUCK YOU AXL ROSE! was very, very funny. But the show was so fast, for me it was like 20 minutes! I had a blast, fucking good time! In the end of the concert I took a peace of paper that was in stucked in Axl in the end of Paradise City, and I met Fernando, he went down in the crowd to give us picks! But I didn't manage to took one, but I talked to him :) And when I was leaving I met Sebastian Bach's bass player, Rob, I talked to him and he was very cool, he said it was one of the best concert they ever did, and he thanked me for coming.
