On grand opening there was 22 500 people, usually 15 000 - 20 000 Depending on Stage I would say.

It sounds cool! I'll have to see how much it costs from Paris to Zagreb, but I'm also considering the St-Petersburg show...hmmm, hard to choose! I'd love to see GN'R in this part of Europe and in Russia too.

well, if you go to zagreb, belgrade is just 2 days afterwards, and the train tickets are cheap

Top Californian rock band in the world, Guns 'N' Roses, will perform in Zagreb as part of its European tour, 20 June 2010 in the Arena. Altough the tickets for june 20th show of GNR in Zagreb have been scheduled to go on sale on Wednesday march 3rd fans will have to wait a few more days for the tickets.

Because of technical uniqueness of the stage, it's size, and other elements the (band) management asked us, that the sale be delayed a couple of days till we can determine/review which of the seats will be put on sale, so that all of the visitors could have the best view of the stage.

I really don't know what is happening with concerts in this region, but maybe because of other festivals where G'n'R will perform, there is no room in their schedule, so they decided for only one date in summer. Unfortunately maybe that means for Zagreb, but maybe for Belgrade too!  :(
I still hope they'll play in June.

Other thought that came across my mind, is that they do not want to play solo concerts in summer, so they'll be just part of some festivals.

Our promotors probably fucked something up and the show has been canceled but they don't wanna admit it. Wouldn't be the first time and it wouldn't surprise me at all. We are a weird type of people, we have to destroy everything good even before it happens. Oh well...  ::)

One thing is for sure (for now), GnR will be in Europe till 12th June.
I'm still convinced that one of our promoters (Belgrade or Zagreb) know something about bands playing in this region!

2nd. the news of the rescheduling came from the media and is unconfirmed.

It basically says the show isn't confirmed yet and that there are some doubts about it happening (normal media speculation of course). Also it says that the rumoured Fall date could coincide with some other activities in the Arena (the European Water polo championship). So it's still unclear if the show will indeed happen, we are expecting news from our promotors.

Hello my Balkan friends  :beer:! I booked tickets on Monday for both the Zagreb & Belgrade gigs  : ok:
I'm travelling all the way from Newcastle in UK and will be spending a few days in both cities so.....
if anybody can advise some good rock bars to check out and/or hostels / cheap hotels that would be much appreciated  :beer:

as I pm,ed you, ryan air has flights from/to London and Edinburgh to Zadar for up to 70 euros. you can catch the bus to Zagreb from there.
as for hostels/hotels, will look into it.
