My ex-wife just called to ask if I'd get him a shirt. He's just about to be 4 so I'm sure they won't have something that small, but I'm looking for as small as I can get for him.

Title: Re: merch Post by: svdv22 on February 05, 2010, 02:30:17 PM That's rought! move to holland a whole lot cheaper.( I think.. not sure where the dollar stands today) Actually it isn't.. CAN$ 40 = ? 27. Shirts in the Netherlands are ? 30 ;) Here's a pic I took at the John Labatt Centre: http://www.doublevisiondesign.nl/gnrmerch.jpg (didn't include it because it would stretch the forum layout out of proportion) Title: Re: merch Post by: IKnowWhereIAM on February 06, 2010, 09:12:49 PM I hope they lock DJ up with a sketch-pad (or Mac, or whatever he uses) between shows...while some of the stuff is cool, the 'machine gun' graphic is muddled and makes absolutely no sense to me (huge gun, little helicopters, even bigger grenade...looks like a clip-art collage). Skull direction has potential (I reaaaly like the 'badge' one with the tour dates on back), but some of the stuff seems very generic. I would love to see something new that becomes as iconic, and uniquely Gn'R as the cross or circle guns logo - while moving past those, since they are so heavily linked to old Guns. Maybe I am just being too critical (or jealous!) too, since I hated the grenade at first, but wear it all the time now.

This looks like a design DJ might've come up with. Does anyone know if it's one of his creations? I regret not buying a t-shirt now with all the Canada dates on the back.
Title: Re: merch Post by: One.In.A.Million on February 11, 2010, 11:29:55 AM I always try to buy a shirt when I attend a GN'R show. The 2006 designs were really unique and the new ones are eye catching too. The newer ones do look like they have more of an Ashba feel to them than the 2006 ones. It's hard to say whether he actually had a hand in designing some of them because for all we know the designs could have been finalised before Ashba joined the band.
But it would be interesting to find out. Lee Title: Re: merch Post by: svdv22 on February 11, 2010, 06:02:40 PM You can buy some 2010 shirts at rockstar weekly:

This was not a tour t-shirt. Those shirts sold out very fast, but I did manage to snag one.
