Title: Travellers guide Post by: Sillything on December 25, 2009, 03:56:06 PM Hello all
For all of us who wonder who to go about ordering tickets from abroad. I'm clueless! I Live in Sweden and wants to see GNR in Europe this summer. How do I get my tickets? Best, safest way to go about it? Using my visa card for concert in France? Will they send my ticket to me or i?ll have to pick it up? How does it work? Plz explain if you got experinece on the subject Title: Re: Travellers guide Post by: jarmo on December 25, 2009, 03:59:04 PM I Live in Sweden Sorry to hear that. :hihi: Usually you just use the local version of Ticketmaster to buy tickets. Often they'll either be mailed to you in advance or you pick them up at the ticket window on show day. :) /jarmo Title: Re: Travellers guide Post by: Sillything on December 25, 2009, 04:11:57 PM whoa, exciting ;D
Title: Re: Travellers guide Post by: Manets on December 25, 2009, 04:37:34 PM The Tickets can be purchased generally in:
- The Ticketmaster website (http://www.ticketmaster.com.br/) (http://www.ticketmaster.com.br/)), but I gotta say the site isn't very good and if often goes offline when the start selling tickets to big concerts (it happend with AC/DC, Metallica, U2, Madonna and I guess it will happen with Guns N' Roses too). -In any of the 9 FNAC stores spread in the capitals of South and Southeast of Brazil. The Ticket Office opens at 10 AM and closes at 6 PM. Here's the list of the stores: http://www.fnac.com.br/Lojas.aspx (http://www.fnac.com.br/Lojas.aspx) -In the Saraiva's stores in the South and Southeast of the contry. -Also in other several and isolated sale points spread throw the country: http://www.ticketmaster.com.br/shwPDV.cfm (http://www.ticketmaster.com.br/shwPDV.cfm) The Tickets sales will start for each concert in: Bras?lia PRE-SALE: 1/11 (only for Credicard, Citibank or Diners credit cards users) GENERAL SALE: 1/18 Belo Horizonte PRE-SALE: 1/13 (only for Credicard, Citibank or Diners credit cards users) GENERAL SALE: 1/20 Rio de Janeiro PRE-SALE: 1/15 (only for Credicard, Citibank or Diners credit cards users) GENERAL SALE: 1/22 Porto Alegre PRE-SALE: 1/18 (only for Credicard, Citibank or Diners credit cards users) GENERAL SALE: 1/25 S?o Paulo PRE-SALE: 1/20 (only for Credicard, Citibank or Diners credit cards users) GENERAL SALE: 1/27 Title: Re: Travellers guide Post by: estebanf on December 25, 2009, 05:04:17 PM any tips on how can I get tickets for sao paulo and rio, considering I live in Buenos Aires?

I was expecting a more serious answer, no offenses. You can buy the ticket in the pre-sale and then you get the ticket in the venue. When you are buying (ticketmaster.com.br) , you can choose 2 options: 1. Send the ticket to your home adress or work adress 2. Go to the ticket window at the venue and get the ticket http://www.ticketmaster.com.br/page_detail.cfm?id_cont=1557 If you want more information, no offense but... try google translator here: http://www.ticketmaster.com.br/page_detail.cfm?id_cont=1538 Title: Re: Travellers guide Post by: estebanf on December 25, 2009, 05:45:49 PM any tips on how can I get tickets for sao paulo and rio, considering I live in Buenos Aires? Title: Re: Travellers guide Post by: Manets on December 25, 2009, 05:50:39 PM First of all, you decide wich concert you're attending and then see which of the sales you will buy it (pre-sale if you have any of the creditcards accepted or general sale if you don't). Then you enter on the Ticketmaster Brasil website (http://www.ticketmaster.com.br/ (http://www.ticketmaster.com.br/)) in the first day that the sales begins.
I reccomend you to register an account on the site a few days before the sale, because in the day the site will be probably lagged. Then you choose your sector and end the bought. According to Ticketmaster they will send you an email to confirm the bought, but they never sent me anything  You just have to pay attention to your sale status, that are: Livre - Your bought is in their database and wasn't processed yet. StdReserva - Your tickets are being saved for you. StdCobranca - Your tickets are saved, we are expecting your payment. VendaOk - Confirmed bought, to see details click on the "order number". Recusada - Your order was refused, to see why click on the "order number" When it's VendaOk - you can already take your tickets, which is the complicated part, let's go... -Go to any of the Ticketmaster sales points, that I posted on my last post at least one day before the concert (Ticketmaster says "some hours", but that's too generic and I really DO recommend you to go at least one day before). Well, all you need is: -ID -The Sale Number -Credit Card used (http://lh5.ggpht.com/___acmeZuB7g/SzVBM5X8g0I/AAAAAAAAAeg/oA-U_ScltN4/print.png) If you bought any half-ticket (to studens and old people), that cost half of the original price, there are a bunch of things you should know, if you wanna know, just ask : ok: Any other questions, please ask. : ok: Title: Re: Travellers guide Post by: Christian on December 25, 2009, 05:52:16 PM any tips on how can I get tickets for sao paulo and rio, considering I live in Buenos Aires? Title: Re: Travellers guide Post by: Manets on December 25, 2009, 05:54:17 PM I wouldn't trust the brazillian mailing service. They only ship to Brazil. The tickets I ordered always arrived on time. Title: Re: Travellers guide Post by: estebanf on December 25, 2009, 05:58:45 PM Questions to our fellow brazilian brothers:

Title: Re: Travellers guide Post by: Christian on December 25, 2009, 06:03:58 PM Questions to our fellow brazilian brothers: It's between 60 to 80 reais (it depends on the daytime... usually the early morning buses are cheaper, etc). Title: Re: Travellers guide Post by: Manets on December 25, 2009, 06:32:23 PM thank u guys! You're welcome. I posted the same thing (but much smaller) in GNR LATitle: Re: Travellers guide Post by: troccoli on December 26, 2009, 01:01:27 PM I'm not sure about international tickets, but I can recall wanting to go to the local Ticketmaster in California to buy tickets for the Hammerstein shows in NY. They would not allow it - had to go online. However I was able to buy tickets for a Metallica show in NY when I was in Massachusetts. I would advise checking beforehand. It may be that your only option if you're not local is the online option. Then of course there's the scalpers, god bless them.
