Robin is selling a bunch of gear on eBay. Among the items listed so far are some that might interest GN'R fans.

I really loved this guitar. It was a song specific piece in two very different environments. I played it on a song called 'Better' in one, 'Discipline' the other. I think I played it on the Fragility tour too, though I can't remember the song(s). The headstock looks terrible. It got 'dropped' and I don't know if it will ever be the same. I can't bare to see it like this. Someone take it away.

I can't imagine how much stuff these guys can pile up. Guess you have to part with some of it once in a while.

Wonder if the headstock was completely severed or just cracked... also the repair seems the be fairly sloppy.
I love project guitars, but its really hard to tell from these pics, though "broken" guitars have character.

Although I'm sure Robin is reasonably well off, I don't think he's that rich, being essentially a session player and a touring musician, with not a lot of writing credits.

I don't know if it does or not, but I don't know if you know but Robin does a lot for Charity already.

Robin left a lot more for auctions. Lots of guitars and pedals, maybe some of them were used in the GNR days.

Why keep stuff when you're not going to use it ?  If Robin wants to auction off some of his stuff  thats cool ! no need to ask question cause it's none of our business.

Except its only the body of the guitar - all the internal mechanics have been removed.

Yeah, that's right, however, and rightfully, its only the items with real value such as the working electric/acoustic guitars which will benefit that cause.
