Guitarist DJ ASHBA has issued the following announcement:

"Ashba Swag will NO longer be associated with or available through Swagrox.com! Ashba Swag will only be available at Ashbaland.com. I am also building a direct link to my new store Ashbaswag.com. I will let everyone know when it is launching. ALL Ashba Swag will be run in-house at Ashba Media, Inc.

I also would like everyone to know we have all of the paperwork finally and I am NOW aware of swag that was ordered, payed for and never received by some of you. I want to apologize for this. I am beyond pissed, this is NOT how I do business, and I am working with my team around the clock to get this mess cleaned up. We WILL be shipping all items to customers that have not received their orders ASAP. I am also going to throw in something extra special for those of you who have been so patient. I also will personally guarantee that we WILL have all swag in stock at ALL times from here on out! And will be shipped within 24 hours of purchase. I value each and every one of you for all the love and support that you have and continue to give me, and I will not sleep until I personally clean up this mess. I also am working very hard on designing brand new swag! So bare with me, I will keep you up to date on the progress! Much love!"

SWAG
 
Promotional merchandise for a band, record label, or other entity in the music business, usually distributed at concerts.

May include t-shirts, stickers, promo CDs, posters, etc. Often free, but not necessarily; a t-shirt or record purchased at a concert might still be considered swag, especially if it is a design or release that is not readily available in the mass market.

Many independent record labels throw in a handful of free swag when they ship out mail-order packages (stickers, sampler CDs, etc).

The chief difference between swag and regular merchandise is that its purpose is not to make a profit, but to promote the band/label, and reward its supporters by giving them something cool and unique.



In "real life" swag is the stuff you get really cheap that "fell off the back of a truck"  :-X

best guitarist the band's ever had.  period.  end of story.  this is easily the most exciting chapter in gnr history. 

The best is when DJ says he's gonna put in some special extra to make it up to the people who got their swags not delivered yet. Great attitude!
