It might be a good idea to check your local rock radio station's web site and join their mailing list. However with CD now being out and a lot more media for the tour this time around it may sell a lot faster then last time. At the same time they are hitting so many cities in Canada it means less fans traveling to see the shows. For example last tour GnR skipped Sask all together and this time they have 2 shows so all those GnR fans will not being going to Winnipeg, Calgary or Edmonton. When something makes me upset, I have hte right o express my opinion. Point is -- I've missed out on tickets during presales before because passwords were posted online in a huge forum. Yes it is true there is a limited amount of tickets and YES it is true the seats aren't the best but I signed up for a mailing list or listened to the radio for a specific reason -- to get the chance to secure my tickets before everyone else. Why should somone from England be able to use a pre-sale password, not supposed to be for them, to purchase tickets to go to one of the shows? The presale password idea is, if I'm not mistaken, for the local radio listeners. This not only brings in people to the radio station but rewards the listeners. You can't tell me that British guy Bob listens to 97.9WROCK in Calgary, Alberta. When passwords are posted on a large forum (similar to HTGTH) with hundreds/thousands of daily readers -- it is much easier for SCALPERS to get tickets, a lot easier. In that case, they would then put them on the selling block for a higher price, fucking over the listener who deserved that presale password. Not posting shit on big forums makes it harder for those scalpers to get the tickets, which is good for the average fan. I'm just looking out for my fellow gunners. It took me about 24 hours for them to turnaround my email and give me the passwords.

Checked out the presale tickets (I think it was House of Blues at the time) all they had was floor tickets and 2nd level. Public sale (as soon as tickets went on sale) - floor, 2nd level tickets and 1st level tickets near the back on sale only. Got mad at myself for not being quick enough on the internet in getting some level 1 near the stage tickets. Checked ticketmaster everyday for the next couple of weeks, level 1 tickets go on sale near the stage but for rows 10 and up, bought 2 tickets. 1 week before the show I check ticketmaster.ca just out of curiosity, they have 1st and 2nd row tickets near the stage on sale (for the whole row). Bought 4 of those tickets, sold my other two on Ebay. Phoned ticketmaster to see what the hell, I thought they were selling off crappy 2nd level tickets first then the 1st level tickets to try and fill up the place. They said it's not up to them which tickets go on sale but it's the promoter who decides which tickets to release for sale. So, I'm keeping that in mind this time.... To give you hope, in 2002 blew my pre-sale opportunity to the London, ON much in the same way you did (didn't have the right information down) and got screwed out of good floor seats (like row 10 or something). So the next day I went and tried the public sale and ended up getting Row 1, Seat 1, middle section (ie. The greatest seat in the house). I wish I could have seen the look on my face when I saw what I was being offered by ticketmaster. I paid face value for those seats and the people next to me paid $750 per ticket and drove from Ohio somewhere. Like it's been reported before, the pre-sale is pretty limited if you don't get on there right away. So long as you're "on it" tomorrow, you should have no problem getting a ticket or two on the floor. Hell, in 2006 I was able to get 14 floor tickets for me and my friends (this time I'm going solo, no interest this time around 'cause I can't stake my friends like I did once before). Now, when they're not as popular, I can hardly get good seats. Go figure! ;)

Note: venue password is usually better seating (than concert promoter eg: live nation)....I think that they only opened section 107 for the live nation presale today....which in the venue I'm going is two sections away from the stage...lower bowl.... ;) Yeah, a presale for us diehard fans is needed! Can't wait, these shows are going to ROCK!!!

The fact that the band is using the exact same password for all shows doesn't help either since all the scalpers would have been all over the bigger city shows yesterday. I see nothing wrong with posting the password on a GNR forum. Besides, there isn't a lot of money to be made scalping GNR tickets these days.

I met the son of the guy who used to own TM and he said there's a lot of inner Ticketmaster selling going on. Most TM employees have the good seats beside the stage and on the floor if not GA purchased for themselves and their friends well before the onsale time.
