odd choice for a cover but he plays a sweet solo towards the end  :peace:

edit: actually i'm not sure thats him on guitar, the article just says he produced it.

In defense of DJ, Neil Diamond is somewhat of a legend in the music business.  If you get the opportunity to work with him, you can't be chastized for choosing to do so.

Neil Diamond is one of those people who has earned, and I mean earned, the right to do musically whatever he wants.  Not my thing now but I know his music, even own some of his music, even sing some of his songs everytime the name appears on a GNR board.  It is an honor to work with someone of his caliber same as if you worked with Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson or Madonna.  Not my thing but they've ruled the charts and have a place.

Sorry have to go.

Actually it impresses me that DJ is working with someone like Neil. Means that DJ is very versatile. That's what Axl seeems to look for. I hate an artist that only can play one style of music.

I am far more worried about DJ doing the next Sixx AM album like he is currently doing than Neil Diamond

What the hell? Did one of my posts actually get removed here?

I have been here a long long time. I consider myself one of the biggest Axl fans in the world. Just because I criticized Ashba, didn't mean one of you mods had to remove it. Nothing wrong with holding a member who hasn't proven his salt yet with GNR, accountable. What the fuck?

NEW YORK, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia Records announces the release of A Cherry Cherry Christmas, the new Neil Diamond holiday collection, available in stores and online Tuesday, October 13.

The title song, "Cherry Cherry Christmas," is filled with references to many of Diamond's greatest hits. Newly written and recorded by Neil Diamond for Christmas 2009, it is destined to become a new Christmas standard.

Newly included with the re-mastered classics are a transcendent "Amazing Grace"; another new Neil Diamond original, "Christmas Dream"; and a party-time version of Adam Sandler's comedic "The Chanukah Song," produced by DJ Ashba (Guns N' Roses).

Neil Diamond - A Cherry Cherry Christmas

yea it did.  too bad there are some who just want to talk about what they'd rather see, as opposed to listening to the track and hearing some of DJs talents on guitar.

Ashba > Finck

Ashba > Finck

i dont see this as relevant to the topic.  first you come in here and complain that the article isn't news on what you want it to be, then you come in here and try to start a robin vs dj debate.

then again, when do you ever make relevant posts.  nothing new with you i guess.

Welcome to the discussion forum.

Now shut up.  :hihi:

I wonder if Jarmo has nightmares about opposing opinions hiding under his bed. ;)
