Title: Axl reminds me of Arthur Rimbaud.
Post by: mojoeye on August 21, 2009, 05:36:52 AM
Rimbaud walked away from poetry at about the age of 20; Is Axl pulling a Beatles? Will he still release music yet not tour? I hope so.

 I think he has more in common with Kate Bush, she only ever toured once she`s never done what her record company wanted her to do and took 12 years to release her last album i`m a fan of her and Axl so i have a very small c/d collection!!! LOL

You know what the problem with that is right?

It only takes weeks for some to consider an album "done". So Axl would have to release albums every three-four weeks to keep these people interested....

I have said it so many times: of course some fans might be disappointed if there is no new music in 2 or 3 years, but on the other hand we don't know what's going on inside the GnR family/record label-things. Plus the band doesn't owe us anything. If they think that they deserve a break after the release to pursue their goals - give them the time.
Enjoy CD and relax.

This is a comparison I never thought I'd see. Two of me favourite people ever.

he doesn't remind me of Arthur Rimbaud who had done with creative writing before the age of 21 and spent the rest of his short  life touring.  ???

i hope he will keep touring, theres no reason for not doing it, people wanted new music in the tours, well now we have the new album. i have never seen GNR, when they came to Mexico in 2007 i was in Italy, i couldnt change my trip, i sent my girlfriend to the concert with my brother and they sent me pictures to my cellphone while the concert was happening.  :hihi: but i need another one to be able to see my favorite band.

There for awhile he was more like Syd Barrett but now *fingers crossed* he'll be making music for a long time to come.

@Horsey, source?

were i herd it doesn't matter.it could just be a rumor or a hint to what axl has been up too.take it for now .it's something better then nothing.it would make sense too put anouther cd out after chinese democracy.sorta like what axl said in the past he has lots of songs he yet is too put out.
