I'm guessing it is probably his first house, it's so cute I might add.  In my state if you bought a house for 1.25 mil, you would definately have some house and property, like acres of property, and easily a 5000 sq ft house with all the bells and whistles, and no neighbors if thats what you like :P., or a big house on Lake Washington next door to Bill Gates or something like that.

It seems that little place has about doubled in value in the last 17 years.

Have you seen his current residence?!  That place isn't much to look at either.  I take Axl for a property man anyway.  The old one and the new one have lush landscaping and a few acres to play on.

Well the MTV Kurt Loder interview was from August 1990 and he mentions that Axl just moved into this house and had to buy patio furniture for the interview.

Axl bought it for $800,000 so it looks like he lost some money on it at the time. I'm not being nosy, just work in the real estate industry and find this stuff interesting.

He lost money because of the damage Erin and him reportedly did too it.

Thats a cute house. If I had the money I'd offer $1 million...and see what happens.

You notice it looks like nothing has been done to the house in years. I am guessing that its the same as it was when Axl had it. Even the kitchen cuboards are old. Notice the one that has been replaced but doesn't match. Wonder what happened there. lol

Guns N' Roses lead singer Axl Rose should have kept his old home for a few more years.

The Los Angeles Times has reported that Rose's old home, which is situated in the Hollywood Hills and has a view of the Hollywood sign, has sold this week for $1,089,000. Rose sold the home to music executive Mark Mazzetti in 1992 for $640,000, according to public record.

Guns N' Roses fan forums are reporting that this was the house where Axl was interviewed by MTV in 1990 and also where he pushed a Baby Grand Piano out of the front window. Additionally, he reportedly had some elephants sent to the yard by helicopter. He had purchased the house for $800,000 in 1990 and through much publicized disputes with former girlfriend Erin Everly, trashed the place and eventually selling it to Mazzetti in 92 for a lower price.

Musically, Axl was rumored to have recorded Famous Last Words in the yard with Kurt Loder in 1990.

The new Guns N' Roses will hit the road in December for four Asian tour dates, followed by a 13-city tour of Canada in 2010. The band's current lineup includes Axl Rose, Frank Ferrer, Tommy Stinson, Richard Fortus, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, Dizzy Reed, Chris Pitman and DJ Ashba.
