Title: Please send good thoughts... Post by: kmorgan on July 10, 2009, 12:28:56 AM I live in a very small town of about 3500 people, and this morning the brother of three of my ex-students was accidentally shot and killed by a friend. He was five, and the friend was eight. It is a horrible, senseless, sad situation, and in our small, very close community, it has been heartbreaking for everyone. I know, and I'm sure his family realizes that the guns should have been locked up, but it is of no consequence now. This is a good family suffering a horrible loss, (this was their baby... all of their other kids have graduated high school), and I ask that if you pray, please send one up for them, and if not, please send good thoughts their way, and the way of the eight year old as well.

Seems the world is experiencing many tragic losses these last few weeks. I will add them both to my prayer list and may God bless this boys tiny little soul, and all those who involved in this great tragedy.

side-note: Stupid gun-owners piss me off. The owners of the gun should be held responsible. Title: Re: Please send good thoughts... Post by: Albert S Miller on July 10, 2009, 11:26:03 PM KMorgan, I'm sending positive thoughts. I agree!! They should be locked up in a safe like at my house, my kids are grown, and they are still locked up. For an eternity I might add.side-note: Stupid gun-owners piss me off. The owners of the gun should be held responsible. Title: Re: Please send good thoughts... Post by: kmorgan on July 11, 2009, 01:03:15 AM Thanks for the good thoughts, everyone. The guns were actually in a gun cabinet that was supposed to be locked. I don't know the whole story there. I don't know if someone just forgot to check it or what, or if somehow the kids managed to get into it. This is just such a horrible tragedy in our little town.

Thats what happens when you dont inform you kids about guns im a demacrat and think there should be tighter gun laws but that dosent mean you shouldnt inform you kids thats the only way they will learn from our mistakes... |
