GUNS N' ROSES: Tutorial DVDs Available - June 23, 2009

Lick Library, one of the world leading suppliers of guitar tuition DVDs, have just released the ultimate guide to playing GUNS N' ROSES with a series of professional workshops and tutorials totaling more than eleven hours of lessons.

GUNS N' ROSES tracks have it all: attitude, excess, power... and riffs to die for. Their songs have for a generation of guitarists given inspiration and ideas. There are so many classic tracks Lick Library have produced three separate tuition DVDs in easy to learn formats explaining clearly the techniques, song structures, sounds and right way to play their songs. This is a must for any guitarist wanting to learn more, not just about playing GUNS N' ROSES songs, but essential to learning rock playing.

First up is the two-part "Learn To Play Guns N' Roses" DVD sets, coming in at a weighty combined eight hours of in-depth tuition. Split into two individual DVDs products, "Learn To Play Part 1" and "2" covers tracks from the debut studio album "Appetite For Destruction" which still remains the fastest-selling debut album in history and considered by many to be one of the greatest hard rock albums of the 20th century. Also featured are tracks from the classic "Use Your Illusion 1" and "2" albums.

In the "Learn To Play" products, Lick Library top teacher Danny Gill (former pupil of Joe Satriani) breaks down the songs into bite sized chunks for easy learning. He looks at everything from the arrangements, effects, song dynamics, as well as both rhythm and lead guitar parts. Everything is put under the microscope and whether it's the chorus, verse, intro, solo or bridge, Danny helps explain and demonstrate how to play these songs and reveals the secrets to achieving that distinctive Slash sound.

Featured in double DVD set "Learn To Play Part 1" are tracks such as "Welcome To The Jungle" which uses a multitude of techniques including delay pedals, special effect tricks, unison bends, key switching and chromatic runs. "Sweet Child O' Mine" uses wah wah pedals, hammer ons and pull-offs and most importantly both guitar parts are explained. Other tracks include "Paradise City", "November Rain" and "Don't Cry". The beauty of these videos is that can be played over and over again in your own time. They will help you learn a huge range of key techniques, valuable for not just playing GUNS N' ROSES tracks, but for pretty much every other type of song! "Learn To Play Part 2" has over fours hours of lessons featuring: "Knockin' on Heavens Door", "Civil War", "You Could Be Mine", "Rocket Queen" and "Nightrain".

Finally, to complete the comprehensive range of GUNS N' ROSES tuition products, Lick Library have the fantastic "Jam With Guns N' Roses" DVD which not only provides three hours of tuition (2 DVDs) on seven tracks but includes a high-quality recorded jam along CD with full professional backing band. Now you can not only learn these classic tracks at your own pace, you can play along with a live band including drums, bass, keyboards and rhythm guitar that will always keep in time and can rehearse with you at any time of day you want!!
