How was that not telling him what to do :-\ ? Maybe because of that "signature style" he is talking about ? I know that when he plays live with GnR he does his own thing but on Chinese Democracy, uh... ? Or maybe in some of the songs, drum parts are actually 100% his ? That leaves 9 other songs thats Brain's own work.
Brain said he had to play Josh's parts note for note but he also said he got to do his own thing after that.
