Fred pissed all over CD in an online chat recently For those that care about Durst-brain's opinions, go to: http://www.newgnr.com/forum/index.php?action=printpage;topic=39362.0 Might I say that I think that the fact that Dursty hates it might be the definitive proof of it's greatness?! Title: Re: Limp Bizkit's little GN'R tribute - AFD reference Post by: The Glow Inc. on May 17, 2009, 05:04:15 AM damn anyone got any info on the arist? cool style :smoking: It was most certainly drawn by Wes Borland, their guitarist. Check out what he draws : (http://www.theborlandgallery.com/large/13.jpg) (http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/21/l_7b63c841b4754f67b5734cee0ec11dfe.jpg) (http://dkpresents.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/limp_bizkit_chocolate_starfish_and_.jpg) That's the same style, right ? Their music is surely the opposite of what axl is interested in, as well. Weird...I remember that he attended one of the three Hammerstein shows and thought it was great. I thought he liked the new lineup... Can't say I really care if he doesn't, but yeah I don't get it. Richard and wes did the X japan gig last year. From the interviews I got the impression that Wes and Richard got along well with each other. Title: Re: Limp Bizkit's little GN'R tribute - AFD reference Post by: ppbebe on May 17, 2009, 11:50:21 AM i'd come early if bizkit were opening ;) You'd come early if they were opening the tourbook? I like the art as well. Title: Re: Limp Bizkit's little GN'R tribute - AFD reference Post by: AtariLegend on May 17, 2009, 12:11:59 PM ^^ not happening(thank god). Probably the most embarrassing fad of this decade.. Title: Re: Limp Bizkit's little GN'R tribute - AFD reference Post by: ppbebe on May 17, 2009, 12:59:51 PM But then
Durst and Borland said in a joint statement, "We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other. Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why LIMP BIZKIT is back." http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=120239 thanks to funkymonkey Title: Re: Limp Bizkit's little GN'R tribute - AFD reference Post by: The Glow Inc. on May 17, 2009, 06:07:52 PM Well...Thank God Axl is still more disgusted with Slash than he is with hard popular music. ;D
And as much as I think Limp Bizkit doing a reunion tour is cool, a new album is, imo, misplaced hype. At least if they don't come with a new formula. Maybe that's just me but if Significant Other were to be released today, it would get terrible, terrible reviews and wouldn't sell at all. Let's face it, nu-metal and rapcore are more or less dead. Even KoRn doesn't sound like KoRn anymore. The only way I would be interested in a new Limp Bizkit album would be : -Complex guitar work by Wes Borland ( which I know he's capable of doing ) -Experimental vocals, not neccesarily rap stuff, with complex lyrics ( I'm not sure Fred is able to do that ) -EXTENSIVE SAMPLE/DJ/PRO TOOLS work. Something huge, almost orchestral or Nine Inch Nail-esque ( with a Ghost I-IV vibe ) Something ambitious and experimental. Not Chocolate Starfish 2.0... But yeah, I'm disgressing...sorry Title: Re: Limp Bizkit's little GN'R tribute - AFD reference Post by: LordRazZ on May 17, 2009, 09:57:36 PM yeah sorry..I don't say most bands suck..but I reserve it for a choice few..
Bizkit..... Fuckleback.. And I think that's about it Title: Re: Limp Bizkit's little GN'R tribute - AFD reference Post by: $$$$ on May 17, 2009, 10:51:12 PM damn anyone got any info on the arist? cool style :smoking: It was most certainly drawn by Wes Borland, their guitarist. My thoughts exactly. I'm so glad that nu-metal/rap-metal shit died off. Hopefully it'll stay dead. |
