Title: Attending some summer concerts?
Post by: cotis on April 29, 2009, 08:54:44 PM
I'm thinking about hitting up NIN|JA Tour, Aerosmith/ZZ Top, Kid Rock/Lynyrd Skynyrd (always wanted to see Skynyrd again...), U2 maybe, can't think of any else off the top of my head.

What about you guys, going anywhere? :peace:

I won tickets to Aerosmith / ZZ last week, I wouldn't have paid that much to go though. The week after that is Cruefest, that should be fun. I'm thinkin about The Offspring, never seen them before. In September Collective Soul is playing the Hard Rock Pool, great place to see a show. I wanted to go to NIN/JA but it sold out by the time I had the cash. And i'm sure there's more to be announced. I do have a stash of cash saved away specifically for Gn'R too  ;)

Planning on seeing The Wailers in June. Of course it's not the original lineup but Elan Atias (lead singer) has an amazing voice and does the band a lot of justice.

Getting Aerosmith/ZZ TOP tickets tomorrow for their Staples Center show.  Might do Fleetwood Mac later this month.

Have U2 in October...that's it so far.  Not too much going on as far as shows are concerned.

Pretty lame.

Yeah, he was fighting cancer for a while now. I'm pretty sure they already had a new bassist lined up. I'm flying back to Minneapolis for the Kid Rock / Skynyrd show.

So far:
Bruce Springsteen 2x.......these shows weren't as good as last years tour, but still.....The Boss never freaking fails and I got to high five him this time.

NIN/JA...........NIN ripped it up, not a big fan of JA, but they did ok

Dropkick Murphys........just saw them three days ago in a skating rink outside of Pittsburgh, such an amazing show..........met and partied with a lot of great people....The show was in a complex with a goodwill store on the bottom and an abandoned skating rink upstairs...the parking lot was no bigger than a McDonalds one....such a great show though.

Going to see the Boss one more time at the very last Giants Stadium show in Jersey in Oct.
Don't know what else yet

Blink 182 Reunion at Hershey on August 12th.

Free ticket and I'm filming so it's not a bad deal.

Saw Whitesnake and Judas Priest last night. Great sets by both bands but short, made it backstage which was nice. Still... nothing rivals A GnR show.
