Which is the best, in-your-face, kick-ass rocker on Chinese Democracy? The one that really makes you rock out 8)

Do we count Sorry and There Was A Time?
Anyway, for me it's definately I.R.S., closely followed by Chinese Democracy and Shackler's Revenge
The "I bet you think I'm doing this all for my health" part makes me get up and jump every time :smoking:

Scraped is the best rocker for me.  I love how the first verse kicks off after the first chorus.

I'd have to go with Scraped at this moment.  It used to be I.R.S. but I think Scraped has risen to the top.

each has its merits,  but the best hard rocker for me is,

IRS

for its acuteness and tenseness.

Better, followed closely by Scraped.

Depends what you class as a rocker, because Better could be easily classed as a ballad....and Sorry could be a rocker too...

I, for one, always liked it.

For me it's Sorry.  It's def not a ballad and the ending of the song absolutely rocks as does the chorus.  Followed closely by Better and IRS.

How could you not include There Was A Time?  Hands down the best rocker on the album.  The guitar solo is fantastic and Axl screaming "I would do anything for you" over it is easily shreds over any other moment on the whole album.

The wall of guitars pulsating through Prostitute....easily puts it on the list to.  My top "rockin" songs would be:

Riad is definately up there, it gets better and better with every listen. 8)

I think Better is the best Guns N' Roses song of all time so I'd have to say it's my favorite rocker on this album.

I get you. Just to clarify what I meant, I think Better is probably the best out of those songs too, but for me it's not that kick-in-the-face rocker as much as it is a fucking beautiful piece of work.

The "no one is stopping you from doing what you want to do" part in Shackler's

If we count "Better" then it wins. If not then "I.R.S.".

"Better" is in a class of its own.

"Chinese Democracy" and "Scraped" are both awesome. That intro to "CD" still pumps me up, and there's nothing cooler than hearing Axl sing "Don't you try to stop us now!" on "Scraped."

"Shackler's" has grown on me tremendously. Very catchy rocker.

"I.R.S." and "Riad" are still my two least favorite songs on the album, and the only two I occasionally skip.

I was thinking about this again today, when it comes to pure rock energy it's definately between Shacler's and IRS, but Chinese Democracy is up there too 8)

At the moment a least.  People often forget how awesome IRS and Chinese are, because those songs have been in circulation for so long.  IRS is the most improved leak IMO.  I love the thumping bassline during the chorus.

It took a few listens, but scraped has REALLY grown on me.  I love Axl's voice in that begining thing. The song slowly builds, and kicks ass at the end!

I still don't like the song.

Probably Shackler's for me.

i could do without the intro to scraped, but i love the song. i've tried so hard to like if the world, but i just cant get into it, sounds like porn music to me  & vocals remind me of the bring it back home demo. i also would have liked the intro & chinese democracy cut into separate tracks. i wish the guy that mixed the last a7x album would have worked on cd. the a7x cd is so clean & the bass hits so hard. thats just my 2 cents.

listened to CD fot the first time in a while yesterday, and scraped is the best fist shaker imo   :peace:

that's fine. as i see it scraped is about staying positive in hell negative surroundings. queen songs must have such effect on axl when he was a kid. so he's paying homage to that there.
