Title: Arenas vs Stadiums vs Festivals vs Clubs Post by: user FKA webmoster on March 05, 2009, 12:14:03 PM Just curious what everyone prefers arenas, stadiums, festivals, or clubs (or any other ideas are welcome too!). Please none of the "I don't care, as long as they tour" comments. To me stadiums are too big, the bands seem to get lost on the stage and a good portion of the crowd lose the live experience because they are better off watching it on the jumbo- trons. I personally loved Hammerstein. It was really intimate and cool. I've never really experienced a legit festival though.

The only way it would be ok is if it is like you're watching a sporting event where the game is right in the centre with the crowd all around. But with most stadium concerts, the band is down one end, and unless you're in front of the stage, you have a crap view.
