Spotify is awesome!

Shame is only available in some countries in Europe.-

For those who don't know what it is, Spotify is a peer-to-peer streaming music program that allows instant listening to specific tracks or albums with almost no buffering. It's 100% legal!

If you open a free account you'd probably listen to 3 or 4 tracks in a row then a few ads. Premium accounts have no ads.

Thanx to spotify I've discovered great music lately; Sunset Rubdown, The Airborne Toxic Event, Dirty Projectors, The Temper Trap, Sigur Ros...

They keep uploading songs every day, although you may find that some artists are missing.

i really dont understand Spotify. Isnt it just the same as using Last.fm Radio?

Mmm... But much more user friendly and (though I'm not sure if you can do this on last.fm) you can choose precisely which album you want to listen to.

Oh, and Spotify appears to have tons more content.

Hey guys seems spotify has changed it's restrictions or whatever you want to call it. Apparently you now need to be invited to get it for free. Can anyone send me an invite code via PM please???

I wouldn't mind this, either. I've always wanted to see what all the hubub was about.

Spotify is the future. You can't deny it, this is where the music industry is going. And I don't think it's a bad thing; since I started using Spotify I have only bought more albums than I used to buy before Spotify. I don't really use it to listen to music, only to find bands that I haven't listened to before. And if I find something good I'll go to a record store and buy their album.

Btw. can you add friends to your friends list any other way than through Facebook?

anyone noticed Coma is not available on UYI ?

I'm curious, since it's the only track of the album you can't play in spotify.

yeah i got an invite so it was free, but I would totally pay for this.  Its just like a huge itunes library that has pretty much everything ever made in it.  I mean there are a few bands who didn't put there stuff on there, but there really is a ridiculous amount of music.  Great for checking out new music.
