Considering it's probably the rarest "official" boxset out there.  Just curious.

It's Japanese, not Chinese.....

Considering this one is not in excellent condition, I wouldn't pay more than $120. I don't think it's the scarcest boxset out there. There's a Live Era boxset, for example,  that's a lot more rare.  I've never actually seen it for sale.

Are you referring to this:

Or this:

I theorize that both are boots; if anything, the 2nd one is certainly a bootleg.

I was talking about the first one. Seems a little far-fetched to make a bootleg of such a sophisticated item. Especially if you can't find it anywhere. What kind of money would a bootlegger make out of this?

the first one is authentic and is a limited run of only 100, the second one i have no knowledge but it does look kinda cheap

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with you 100%.  But, to play devil's advocate for a moment here, the same thing could be said about the 2nd item.  I've never seen it for sale either.  As for making money, look at the UYI wooden boxset from Germany - a boot no doubt, but usually fetches at least $100 every time I see it on eBay.  But yes I agree, the first I would say is legit, especially with the Geffen name on it, and a catalogue #.  It would be awesome to have.  I would have to say though that aside from this, the UYI Japan boxset is the scarcest official boxset out there.

On a separate note entirely, some folks and I over at mygnrforum were thinking about making something similar to the Top 100 Metallica list, but for Guns N Roses.  For those not familar, see here:  http://www.metallipromo.com/100.html    Any interest in lending a hand?  This goes for anyone by the way.

I wouldn't mind (attempting to) help on the list.
