This is free with Classic Rock this month, its the history of the album from 1994-2008. Quite nice too with some cool pics

Is there much in the booklet we don't already know?

Sucks to live in the US sometimes - will have to wait a month to get this issue.  Currently my local shop only has the Dec. 2008 issue (which they just got).  The issue with the making of is Jan. 2009.  Damn!

Not sure what you are referring to here.  Let's assume for a second you're referring to the comment I made on how my local shop won't have this issue to Jan. 2009.  The shop I am referring to is Barnes and Noble (fairly reputable I guess - they have lots of magazines).  If you know of another place to get it I'm all ears.

So is the magazine out in December or January ? I know usually mags are ahead a month or so, like January 09 isssue in fact is out in Dec.  Im I wrong ?

December.  I saw it in the shops the other day and was tempted to buy it but changed my mind thinking, as suggested it would be an article/piece made up of google'd answers.  I think the mag is over ?4 and for something I skim read at best I didn't think it was worth it, if anyone here has bought it, it would be nice to hear feedback as to whether it's worth picking up or not.  ;)

their direct source was a compilation of all interviews given over the years on the topic....pretty much all of them....a load are archived on this site and elsewhere....its not based on some new interview with someone, but on well documented material which is already out there...whether its true or not is another story, but the material (or source) behind it is not made up....

Depends on where you live.  If you are in the US, you will likely find it in January.  As I already posted the Barnes and Noble by me only just got the December issue.

I got it, I think it's fairly interesting and worth reading.  It generally has a fairly positive attitude towards the album, worth ?4.50 imho.  Some good stuff about two other bands I love in the mag as well, New York Dolls and MC5. 

  I'm gonna get it. Should be a good read and its about Guns n Roses....

Anyone knows if you get the booklet if you buy the issue in the rest of Europe? Cuz i couldnt see it in the magazine when I was in the store, but maybe I missed it..

It should be there, I thought the same thing when I got my copy. I was like where the hell is the booklet, but the cover is a little confusing, the booklet's not attached to the cover like booklets usually are, but instead it's inside a hard box-like case, so I'd imagine all copies of the magazine should be packaged similarly everywhere.
I wouldn't say it was that interesting. It was an enjoyable read, but there wasn't anything in it that people who read these boards wouldn't know. The mag itself is cool though, so long as you like the other bands in it.

can this magazine be ordered online??
