i dont think anything will come of it, its not on recordable media and you have to prove you are the licence holder i think

they've taken stuff down before for the same type of thing.

If a bootleg is on recordable media such as cdr, dvdr etc then they take it down straight away. because its on vinyl it will be hard to convince ebay of the offence unless you can prove you own the original copyright / license. I hope they do take it down but ebay must have some definate proof its fake before they take it down. Just a couple of regular fans logging a complaint Isnt enough to end the listing unfortately. If its on recordable media then the offence speaks for itself

if it wasn't such a limited run then i agree they rarely do anything. but i've seen items like this removed before. hopefully this will be as well.

Actually, this may not be as dodgy as it seems. In the manufacturing process, it would could have been a make-ready copy that made its way into production.
Meaning, the record pressed prior to LLAS was a green vinyl pressing, the operator would have set up the machine with the vinyl material that was in the tanks to avoid wasting material. I have only ever seen this Green version so would suggest that someone would have got to a massive amount of trouble to produce 1 x alternative copy.

Just my opinion of course and could be totally fake as hell.. Check my previous posts on how to check the fakes (Heavier material vinyl / Different weight micron of board / grey backed board instead of white lines etc.....)

i did ask him for extra pics but so far ive not recieved them.........
If you look at the vinyl in the pic it shows both centres as being red instead of 1 x red and 1 x black with the uzi logo.
this might be an oversight on behalf of the seller though.

i agree with meanmachine in what your saying though...but,
if it turns out to be legit then how can you really prove its authenticity?

That's exactly the way I feel about this item:

Granted, a cd is a whole hell of a lot easier to make than a vinyl, but at the same time I have never seen another, and it was bought fairly cheap.  Who knows?

The easist way to check if your item is legit is to check the catalogue number aginst MCPS licence. (Any reputable manufacturer would request a copy of the MCPS licence prior to replication.)
Obviously Universal would only use good companies (mainly Sonopress in Germany for European supply) back street operations dont care for the artists rights and wont ask for a copy of the licence and care only for the revenue.

So I have never seen a coloured pressing of LLAS ever on ebay in the last 8-10 years.  Now suddenly within the space of about 2 months we see a red and a green vinyl version.  When the green version surfaced I thought well there is a slim chance it could be a test pressing.  But for this now to pop up shortly after sounds pretty suspect to me!!!

Notice too how the listing's practically identical to the other - look at the description of the condition.  Supposed different seller.

the same seller as before........i checked the feedback for the previous green suicide and noticed no feedback has been left from buyer or seller. i have emailed the buyer from last time to find out some info if i can.

Just out of curiosity, how much does a legit copy go for these days?

Yeah I noticed that come up again.  The seller ovbviously shill bid up the auction last time then finished up as the winning bidder.
