That's cool ! Dr. Pepper I think has really stepped up to the plate.

That's cool that Dr. Pepper is doing that.  I don't know if most people can appreciate the immense technical challenges that have to be dealt with in a situation like this, without incurring huge costs (especially since the promotion itself is probably already incurring huge costs).

They're obviously doing their best to handle all the requests and fulfill their original obligation, which was a very cool idea in the first place.  Kudos to Dr. Pepper!

oh ok...Now I kind of feel bad, earlier today I wrote the people over at Dr. Pepper quite the email outlining my disgust and calling the guy who made the free dr. pepper promise in the first place an idiot who should probably lose his job for making a promise the company certainly couldnt keep. I'm glad they extended this thing cause that would have been such a scam if they just said you have 24 hours to get it on our site which will be down because of the influx of traffic.

Yeah no shit... Im embarrassed myself. Its not something i would normally do, I dont condone wasting your time with stupid shit. I could really care less about a free soda, its the fact that some dueschbag at this company decided to try and be a hero and make some bold statement to garner some publicity based on the assumption that since this album hasnt made it out in the last 15 years that 2008 probably wouldnt be any different. However, this guy was wrong it did come out. And the reason I wrote them the email was not for my free dr. pepper but rather to inform them that as a major company they shouldnt let some idiot go out and make promises they cant keep. The fact they promised everyone in America a free Dr. Pepper and made it only availible for 24 hours on a site that apparently couldn't handle the traffic of your little sisters myspace blog is a little ridiculous.
