It's just appeared on WWE's official website that "Chinese Democracy" will be the official theme song of the WWE Armageddon pay-per-view on December 14th.

Cool.  Hopefully it'll be a good ppv!  I couldn't bear John Cena winning a belt to the tune of a GN'R song.

I knew they were going with something GN'R, just didn't know the track. Shackler's would have been better.

I thought it would've been Scraped. The chorus seems to fit the wrestling promos pretty well.

They never play more than like 30 seconds of the song anyway, so Chinese Democracy fits nicely.  Plus, more exposure = more awesomeness.

John Cena sucks... the belt gets thrown around all over the place these days.  Ric Flair used to be heralded as a 16 time World Champion at one point...  Triple H isn't even 40 yet and he's had the belt like 14 times... it's stupid.

It's cool that Chinese Democracy will be the song...it's just usually WWE has pretty terrible bands and songs representing their pay per views and wrestlers theme music...

I don't want this throw in the same category...

I don't watch WWE anymore, because it's watered down.

Very cool to see it in the WWE though. Great song, fits well...

on an off note i saw a comersial of theres on Comedy Central durring the secret stash, i forget the movie that was on...

I think the official song for WWE: Armageddon should be none other than "Sorry" the catchy guitar riffs and Axl's voice "I'm sorry for yoooouuuuu, Not sorry for me" would make the ultimate song for that event.

the lyrics would fit but i think the song would be too slow pace to be a song displayed in a setting like that

That is an odd choice for a theme for this particular PPV. I'd go for Shackler's Revenge (cliche choice I know) our of all CD tracks.

First AC/DC for Survivor Series and now GN'R for Armageddon. That's 2 great bands in a row for themes.  :o

I work with a wrestling fan at work and he was all excited to tell me about this this morning :hihi:  On the bottom of the screen, it says that CD is the theme song ;D  Click on it and it plays the song ;D

This is brilliant promotion of the album. The wwe website is visited by thousands of people from everywhere and on the TV shows the song is played when they are talking about the event. So it can all be good stuff.

i kinda feel like this is an example of casting your pearls before swine.  there's no way the average wrestling fan can appreciate the depth and complexity of this music.

just realistic.  these songs are sensitive and beautiful and epic.  i doubt many beer drinking wrestling fans will be able to get something as profound as 'this i love.'  sad, but true.  i wish axl could have an official song on npr or something, where really intelligent and intellectual people listen.  they could appreciate how this is album is basically like a beethoven symphony for your ears.

Exactly, I would rather they kept this song away from being promoted to 5 million plus households in America alone, weekly, for a month than have someone lesser than me hear it. The thought!
