Here Today... Gone To Hell!

this is bullshit, i've tried 3 times today to go to their goddamn site and sign up for a fucking coupon and i get the same shit. first time it said there was an error on the page second time i actually get to the sign up part and when i hit submit it  says error on page once again then i just tried again before time ran out and the fucking thing from the beginning jsut said site unavalible :rant:

i'm kinda pissed off >:( i hate Dr Pepper as it is but this makes me hate them even more :rant: ..............................FUCK!

i try a 4th time and get this

WTF seriously, something is wrong with there site not just because of that but also it said at the top of the screen that there was 18+ hours left in this offer ::)

I really doubt it.  It's actually a pretty tough situation to be in.  Imagine they normally have one high powered server running their website.  For one day, they're going to have 500x as much traffic as normal (it's seriously probably that big of jump).  Do they go out and spend the money to fund the additional 15 servers they'd need to make the site run?  But after the ond day is over, the 15 servers are pretty much a waste.  Not to mention all the time spent on setting them up.

On the other hand, if they had their website running in a cloud environment (or any virtualized cluster environment) it wouldn't be a big deal!   But based on the various error messages I saw on the website yesterday, that's definitely not the case.

Did you ever get in?  It took me about 3 mins total to sign up.  I must have hit it at the right time.

they extended the offer until today but i bet there was still a lot of traffic.

It was a fucking joke. I was never able to get on or by phone. They had so much time to get ready for this.  ::)

It would be interesting to see how many they ended up giving out.

They killed their own server by limiting it to one day only.

I wonder how many cans were to be provided.

DId they really intend to give people a can or were they trying to be funny ?

I never had a chance to go to their website on the 23rd :(   I did however make it to Best Buy which was what really mattered  :smoking:

I experienced the same issue, with that I decided Chines Dem definately had more clout, I am not a fan of the product, however, I appreciate their interest in the band, for that I am greatful.  By the way I was only going to scrapbook my coupon, not redeem it.

same here i don't drink Dr pepper (except when i drink captin morgan, its a good chaser) or i was gonna frame the coupon or something like that i don't know. it still kinda pisses me off though but i am glad that G"n'R got some free publicity out of it :peace:
