It was issued in the early 90's. There are older 70's Les Paul basses but this isn't from that lot. Gibson still makes Les Paul basses but the ones available today are nowhere near the quality of those early 90's (or 70's ) basses.

The one's Duff used had a screwed on Leo Quann type of bridge. Which would just be too much hassle to deal with if there were any problems with the bass, sending it back n fourth, n the cost for shipping. Add on British tax charges for large items.
