This week?s second annual London Rock ?n? Roll Fantasy Camp features an intriguing pair of star ?counselors? for the 42 wannabe rockers who?ve shelled out a cool $13,000 each in tuition: Velvet Revolver?s Slash and Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason.

The two veteran rock stars will rehearse, coach and eat with their charges for up to 10 hours a day during the week-long event at EMI?s famed Abbey Road recording studios. The class concludes with a Sunday night showcase at Liverpool?s (relocated) Cavern Club, which is the vaunted birthplace of the Beatles.

"I feel quite passionate about anything that encourages people in music,? Mason says. ?(The students) all rise to the occasion, it's fantastic. Playing music is just great fun. It's a terrific thing to do, and in this environment you're just doing it for fun. You don't have any musical differences."?Jerry McCulley
