Title: Mystery of Chris' two T's solved
Post by: GypsySoul on November 09, 2008, 08:46:03 AM
On his blog yesterday (Nov 8th), Chris Pitman of Guns n' Roses solved the mystery behind why sometimes his last name is incorrectly spelled with two T's and also why most times his birthday is incorrectly listed as February 1976.

The REAL Chris Pitman of GNR, however, has now caused monumental trauma in the lives of gypsies with OCD by failing to post his actual birth date.  :crying:

Gypsy note:  This is from GNR Pitman's blog so the "I" is our Chris.

Chris Pittman (the original) via 1991

The Original Chris Pittman released on Atlantic/WEA Records in 1991. His birthday is February 1976

I finally found this again. A funny story about this. I had a friend who worked at a record shop, and i was to meet up for lunch or something. I waited outside on the sidewalk for him, and when he came out he says ?hey man, check it out, i just found your solo record in the store!?, and I was, like, ? what the hell are you talking about?!?, and he hands me this record. 10 seconds later, we were both on the ground, gutted in hysterical laughter! really unbelievable. For awhile, everytime someone came to my house, this was the first thing I showed them. And everytime the same result. Tears, coughing up and laying on the floor, gutted.

This was around 1992 or so. I have long forgotten and have lost that record way back then.

Recently I had been told that on the WorldWide web of misinformation, that my birthdate had been listed as February 1976.  While that was funny, we were curious where that number came up. And lo and behold, I remembered this little black kids record. I also remembered in the late ?90?s of receiving a summons to court regarding a lawsuit between Atlantic Records and a certain ?Chris Pittman?. I went thru hell just trying to prove i wasn?t ?CP -time again?!

I wanna do a record with him, wherever you are
