Q: What is your favorite classic and your favorite new GN'R song to play live?

BBF: Down On the Farm, Nice Boys, Don't Cry. There are a lot of new songs I'm looking forward to playing. Of the ones we've done so far, I'd say There Was A Time, Better, and Chinese Democracy.

This is very interesting, as I remember reading something about Down on the Farm in particular (maybe Nice Boys too, don't remember) being performed at some obscure GN'R concert a couple of years ago. A birthday party or something, was it?
Would rock to see some of those songs included in the occasional set list in the future.

They did Nice Boys in Australia w/ Angry Anderson...and they added in Down on the Farm a few times around that time as well.

Once CHinese Democracy hits, Bumblefoot will become the World's favorite guitar player!!  :hihi:

To quote Wikipedia:

Wombats are Australian marsupials; they are short-legged, muscular quadrupeds, approximately 1 metre (39 in) in length with a very short tail. They are found in forested, mountainous, and heathland areas of south-eastern Australia and Tasmania. The name wombat comes from the Eora Aboriginal community who were the original inhabitants of the Sydney area.

Cool interview, thanks!

Does anybody know why Axl didn't sing "Don't Cry" while Bumblefoot clearly knew how to play the whole song...and then just recently he began singing it?

If I remember correctly, Izzy wrote the original version of Don't Cry while Axl wrote the lyrics to the alternate version...yet he sand the alternate maybe once or twice...

Anyway, just wondering why he never worked Don't Cry into the playlist...I actually like his voice during some of the recent versions I've heard live on Don't Cry then the one's of the past...

Just start playing it with the whole band!!!!!  Ahhhh!!!!

I think he's had an issue singing it ever since Shannon Hoon died, and I don't blame the guy.

07.15.07 - Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan
07.17.07 - Rainbow Hall, Nagoya, Japan
07.18.07 - Nippon Budokan, Tokyo, Japan
07.21.07 - Intex Osaka, Osaka, Japan

Now I want a damn wombat.  Are they as vicious as they look?  I just get a 'badger' vibe from the pic.

Yes, I know this.  I said that.  But the whole 2006 tour in America he didn't sing it while Bumblefoot still played the straight guitar for it.  I was just wondering why if anybody knew...that's all.

Bumblefoot's album is really great, this is a great competition and Raven is a long time GN'R fan.
