I am greatful for all of it,  but If the opportunity for something different were presented, the drive is beautiful, why not?

I just called a store in Ontario Canada and they said "No shipping to USA".  However,  Anyone close can call HMV and place it on hold and they can pick it up?  He also said the price $41 would probably go down at the time of the release.

Could it just be the vinyl ?

I know that HMV charge alot more for vinyl in the uk stores then it would to buy a cd, so it could be that HMV made a mistake on there database, like best of buy did with the 3 covers etc

For example there was Iron Maiden vinyl for about 22 GBP, that would work out around 43CAD, plus take a bit of money off because its online and it works out the same.

I asked him if it was a shirt or what it was?  and he said that it did not specify the product just 2 set.

the digital download comes with the Disk. So that's not it. Maybe a shirt... hopefully not.

Personally, I'm hoping the diehards who preordered the CD will be rewarded with something exclusive or limited edition....something that won't be available to those who just walk into the store and buy the CD. T-shirt, bonus CD, DVD, whatever.

Does the Vinyl version? Yes.

Well, the reason I asked is because if the cd is copy protected like it appears it may be, then it's bullshit if I have to pay again for some mp3's to load to my mp3 player. If it is copy protected, I just hope it's as easy to bypass as it was on Contraband.

I talked to a guy at HMV Yesterday and the 2set was listed in their system in the morning and He said "NO" it did not specify what it was!!!

We'll probably know a lot more information the Friday before the release. I wouldn't worry about it, or waste your time trying to figure out what it is. All stores will have lots of stock and you'll probably find you're the only one standing in the cold waiting for the doors to open. I will be that one guy in my town.

Yeah, meaning they've probably got something there indicating it's coming in, but they don't have the actua product in their system yet. If they did, they'd know what it is.

yeah exactly. at the most a tshirt is like 20 bucks. add cd and it adds up to like 30 something. if that really is the pack for 50, well thats a bit ridiculous if i may say so myself.

agreed...looks like management wants to make some money back fast.  Throw in a t-shirt and more than double your profit...does seem odd, maybe price will come down at release time.

The shirt is probably around 25, and CD's are usually 20 bucks here. So there is the $45 price tag.

I'm guessing none of you have ever bought or taken a look at what HMV thinks a Tshirt is worth....or what HMV thinks anything is worth.

I've seen DVDs there for $50, whereas Wal Mart has 10,000 of the same one in the $4.99 bin.

$42 for a CD and T-shirt at HMV is a great deal, by their stanards.

Hello guys. I work for HMV Canada and I decided to post this info here regarding the Fanpack and what this is about. First of all here is the sellsheet from Universal Music Canada:

As you can see it is simply a special fanpack package with a Large size t-shirt (which is very cool looking by the way!!!)

This is just to clarify any bad info going on the web about this. Also the price you see on HMV.ca right now (41,99$) is the SRP (suggested retail price) by Universal Music Canada. HMV Canada will NOT sell this fanpack at that price. Expect something like 30$ on release day and a little higher (around 35$) the next day. The same goes for the retail price of the regular CD that is currently at 19,99$ on HMV.ca. Once again HMV will NOT sell the regular CD at that price. Except something very lower than that!!! (right now a secret by the way...) Expect the best price in Canada on release day at HMV.

Also it is cool to know that every HMV stores in Canada have also ordered vinyls copies of the album. Yes... vinyls are not dead! :)

Yep, makes sense. Use the old recognizable logo to "get it out there" again.   The general public are at least familiar with it.  The Chi Dem product can transition the public to the new logo.

Hot Topic was selling that shirt last year for $15. If Best Buy has this "fanpack", it should not be over $30, imo.

Seems a bit pricey for an extra $100 to get a T-Shirt , Patch,Key Ring, Bandana and a belt buckle.  T Shirt seems cool, but you wouldn't catch me with any type of belt buckle!

But not a bad idea from a marketing standpoint, younger fans with some extra cash may buy it.

just picked up my vinyl copy of chinese, and aswell as a poster, i got a red and white poker chip with the new logo in gold on 1 side, and the release date in gold on the other.

I got one, from a CD launch party I went to (in london).  Quite cool. 

I got a paper drink coaster with mine (CD, not vinyl).

New Gn'R symbol on one side and release date on the other.

When I picked up my pre-order at Best Buy...it said there was a 2Set LP for 19.99 and it was the vinyl.  Same description as what was originally posted on here that was in question...
