Videospiel und der Film „Der Mann der niemals lebte“, mit Leonardo Di Caprio und Russell Crowe in den Hauptrollen, werden in Deutschland ebenfalls im November erscheinen. Vor 17 Jahren erschienen mit „Use Your Illusion I“ und „Use Your Illusion II“ die letzten beiden legend?ren Alben von einer der wichtigsten Rockbands an einem Tag – das hatte es zuvor noch nicht gegeben. Zwar gingen sie in umgekehrter Reihenfolge ins Ziel – No. „I“ landete in den USA auf Platz #2 der Charts, die „I“ ging an die Spitze –, doch fanden sich auf den Alben eine Hand voll Hits wie „November Rain“, „Don’t Cry“, „You Could Be Mine“, der schon im Soundtrack von „Terminator 2“ aufgetaucht war, sowie „Live And Let Die“. F?r jedes der beiden Alben konnten Axl Rose & Co. unz?hlige Preise einheimsen, u. a. sieben Platinauszeichnungen in den USA. „Appetite For Destruction“, das Deb?talbum der Band aus dem Jahr 1987, verkaufte sich weltweit bereits ?ber 28 Millionen Mal (allein 18x Platin in den Staaten!) und z?hlt schon l?ngst zu den erfolgreichsten Platten der Musikgeschichte. Mit „Welcome To The Jungle“, „Sweet Child o’ Mine“ und „Paradise City“ enth?lt die LP drei Top-10-Hits. „G N’ R Lies“, der Nachfolger aus dem Jahre 1988 (5x Platin), ging auf Platz #2 der US-Charts und brachte unter anderem die Hit-Single „Patience“ hervor. Nach dem bereits erw?hnten „Use Your Illusion“-Doppelpack ver?ffentlichten Guns N’ Roses 1994 „The Spaghetti Incident?“, ein Album, das ausschlie?lich aus Coverversionen bestand und ebenfalls Platinstatus erreichte. Ein Live-Album bescherte ihnen 1999 eine weitere Goldene Schallplatte, und 2004 ging die einzige Greatest-Hits-Collection der Band in die Top-3 der US-Charts und bekam vierfaches Platin. Insgesamt haben Guns N’ Roses seit ihrer Gr?ndung im Jahr 1985 ?ber 90 Millionen Alben verkauft. Das neue Bandlogo zur Ver?ffentlichung von „Chinese Democracy“ und auch das neue Platten-Cover sind nun endlich offiziell (siehe Bild). Der Titeltrack von „Chinese Democracy“ erscheint als erste Singleauskopplung in Deutschland am 11. November. Das Album „Chinese Democracy“ wird am 22. Post by: Billo on November 01, 2008, 04:45:57 PM Record stores in australia dont have a clue either.....i was told its out on the 23rd and 24th of Nov..One said the special edition was with a Shirt then she said no the CD isent in the system yet just the shirt....And one store said the chin D SINGLE would he out in stores to buy on the 23rd and the CD a week later..... so no ones really sure whats going on yet..maybe next week the will sort it out..LOL
