Title: New Tour DVD in the future? Post by: hebbesy on October 23, 2008, 10:21:38 AM Here's the answer:
We have plenty of footage, and a DVD will most likely come in the future. As of now, there is no DVD planned to be cut / edit / sold. Rumors, keeps the world going 'round n' 'round. Hey, As a heads up be sure to look out for a new Tour DVD with potential footage from Hammersmith 2006 gig. This is from a very strong source and I will not reveal who. Mysteron can you confirm this is in the plans in case anyone thinks im lying. Cheers, Hebbesy Title: Re: New Tour Dvd Post by: DarkFairy on October 23, 2008, 10:28:53 AM I wonder what ever happened to that axl documentary by lush (?) productions ??? that would be cool to see sometime
Title: Re: New Tour Dvd Post by: estebanf on October 23, 2008, 10:36:30 AM I really would love a new tour dvd, but I also think this should not be the right time to release it.
Title: Re: New Tour Dvd Post by: AC on October 23, 2008, 10:38:51 AM This would be huge, especially if they released a Blu-ray version!

Title: Re: New Tour Dvd Post by: LittleFly on October 23, 2008, 11:10:45 AM I was at all 4 Hammersteins, front row for the first two. It would be so fuckin awesome to see a DVD for that week ;D

Almost to the point of.. can they do it again? Crowds were MANIC everywhere they played and the shows just had great, warm vibes. GNR came in and basically took no prisoners. Everyone just surrendered! I love that they headlined everywhere too. "Sorry, GNR is on the bill now too, you're down to second.."... And the band had no new album or original material out and hadn't had for 13 years... I hope to see a show on disc from this tour in some shape or form. Or as material for a video for one of the songs (Better!). They're sitting on gold with all that film (many shows were taped) in stock. 8) Title: Re: New Tour Dvd Post by: wadey on October 23, 2008, 02:20:07 PM would be awesome if they released a dvd...........even better if it was donny 06

Who wouldn't want to see a camera scan of the audience the minute the lights go up and we're going fucking bonkers in the crowd? Hammerstein May 12th I must have jumped 5 feet in the air when that shit started up! Take the best/most memorable performances and get 'em on there. I'd throw IRS in there too as it is a great live song. Rhaid would be icing on the cake. edit: and Live and Let Die MUST be played. This lineup does the best rendition of that song ever. Title: Re: New Tour Dvd Post by: nekomex on October 26, 2008, 01:23:24 PM i think they should put the shows on sale on a website, so you would download them to your pc and then to a cd, or they can send it by fedex. maybe the problem of distributing something to stores and then not knowing if it will sell much its the problem, you fix the problem with this.

Title: Re: New Tour Dvd Post by: Fernando on October 27, 2008, 05:15:11 PM We have plenty of footage, and a DVD will most likely come in the future.
As of now, there is no DVD planned to be cut / edit / sold. Rumors, keeps the world going 'round n' 'round. One can never ever be content. Title: Re: New Tour Dvd Post by: wells on October 27, 2008, 06:04:31 PM So, now that you have the CD, you want a video... One can never ever be content. Lets see: an interview, a video, new single - it has been a week already since the last one came out, Frank's jacket, Axl's jeans, CD II, Tour dates... that's about all ... and some Swedish girls :hihi: shall I say, please? v. .. Title: Re: New Tour Dvd Post by: younggunner on October 27, 2008, 06:10:42 PM ill trade the Axl jeans and a single for Buckethead and a Chinese Democracy Starts Now Tshirt from the first Vegas show
Title: Re: New Tour Dvd Post by: suicide on October 27, 2008, 06:17:31 PM Would you want a dvd from one show, or songs from a bunch of shows ? I prefer one complete show with some extras (bonus tracks and backstage footage). And OK, lots of Swedish girls!I still hope the Rock In Rio III concert will be released one day, that was a killer show. Especially after all those years of expectation. And what a crowd!!! However, the sad thing about that show is that Richard wasn't part of the band back then. But since GN'R changes it's line-up more frequently then the Queen of England changes her underwear it's not such a big deal. And I'm sure Richard will be in GN'R for quite some time and will apear in many videos or live dvds. Title: Re: New Tour DVD in the future? Post by: Olorin on October 27, 2008, 06:36:28 PM A official live dvd would be awesome but I'm more excited that I might get to see another live show next year. I'm fairly confident it will happen and I'm already putting the pennies aside so I can see as many shows as possible.

I don't think he was being greedy, I think it might have something to do with the Billboard article saying a video was in the works. But of course the media are not always reliable Title: Re: New Tour Dvd Post by: Fernando on October 27, 2008, 08:21:04 PM So, now that you have the CD, you want a video... But of course the media are not always reliable I am not saying anyone was greedy. The reply you quoted, wasn't in response to the originator of the thread, but to a response to someone else. More in the humor-like side, anyway. Also, the thread said there will be a TOUR DVD. Title: Re: New Tour DVD in the future? Post by: MR.BROWNSTONE on October 27, 2008, 11:08:03 PM All four warm up shows in NYC would be cool to have on the DVD. I also think a DVD of more than one show would be cool. I was lucky to go to 8 shows in 06 and I would love to see all of them on the DVD. I would also liketo see some of the shows in 07. Whatever the DVD is I'm sure it's going to be cool. : ok:

I was specifically told that I was being interviewed for a GNR dvd at Hammerstein in 06.Whoever was filming inside the venue worked for GNR.So,at some point there were plans for that footage to be on a dvd. Also, of course we want a video/interviews/Rolling Stone covers, etc. Most people here want the album to be a smash and these kind of things are needed so that the general public knows the album is coming out. Title: Re: New Tour DVD in the future? Post by: babydolls on October 30, 2008, 08:33:43 AM I'd love to see official footage of many of the gigs through 06-07. Be so cool to see a song from one of the Australian gigs, where Guns hadnt been since early nineties, don't cry from Japan, IRS from the acoustic gig in London, WTTJ at first night in Hammerstein, Donnington (something with Iz perhaps) Nightrain was amazing there, and yes Axl and ckgent for KOHD at Hammersmith :hihi:
Yeah - have gone to fantasty land for the dvd of my dreams! Any DVD they put together would rock, but I imagine listening to CD will take my mind off all that for some time!
