That makes it 3 dates for chidem.. 23rd, 24th & 25th... hmm  ???

But it doesnt make sense that Europe gets chi dem before the US..?

I'm still going with Best Buy's website date (25th) for the US. And yes, in Europe, new stuff comes out on a Monday, so the 24th makes sense.

Sydney's Daily Telegraph says release date has not been set. I guess they arent a big fan of research. But atleast there is finally something in an Australian paper about it.

let me get this straight: Here in the U.S. cd's are released on Tuesdays. Since the 23 falls on a sunday, does that mean we'll get it on that day or Tuesday the 25? Sorry if this has already been brought up I've been reading so much on this forum I can't keep up with all the news, can somebody just confirm this?

Well you guys usually get albums 1 Day before us. Monday's in Europe and Tuesdays in North America. So for a change we get it a day early... now you know how it feels to be us  :P

just spoke to someone from Universal Holland, and it's coming out in both formats in Holland on November 21: CD and Vinyl (no word on different covers, and when you buy the vinyl version you'll get a code to download a digital copy for free)

so nothing really new or exclusive for The Netherlands.. :)

iv pre-ordered a copy off amazon but ill also be at hmv chester on the monday morning queing for a few copys aswell. if they sell out then ill hunt EVERY music outlet in the UK TILL I GET SOME COPYS  :hihi:

HMV Chester? Really? That's the one i'll be hitting up too if my pre order from Play.com doesn't come on time, hell i've waited long enough for this album I don't mind having a spare one for the car! I would go to Tesco but I think they order like 3 copys of every album and unless you're there mega early (The stores are 24 hours!) you will miss out.

tesco are 24hr but with the release on mon the store is closed on sun night so it will open at 8am...........ill be there from 6
my local hmv opens at 10 and all the rest at 9

I'm hoping HMV stays open until Midnight as they sometimes do for the big album releases.

Dude, here's a store where i can guarantee they will sell the vinyl here in Holland,

Mediamarkt  ;D they sell a LOT of vinyl lately, death magnetic etc etc etc, mostly near DVD-music racks, or they keep em behind the counter with the other "curiosa"  :peace:

well just called mediamarkt and that lady of information said they never sell vinyl.......

Was at Mediamarkt in the Hague last saturday...they had the cosmos rocks by Queen and Death magnetic by Metallica (29 and 79 euro)

Mediamarkt in Utrecht they got even more, seriously... latest releases and even older re-issues...

Saturday i asked when they would get CD or anything related, the guy answered with "4 years ago" didn't know crap about the whole thing, went down the street in The Hague center, there's an old small record store, who sells vinyl also (new7" singles aswell) and could tell me all exept when he would get it..

Point is, they work there for pay, but know crap of what they sell...

Universal Germany confirmed the release Nov 22nd, so 21st is wrong.
Also the single will be released on Nov 11

I just phoned HMV in the UK and they said the Vinyl version isn't listed yet and to call nearer the time as the system might be updated. The guy on the phone wasn't familiar with Chinese Democracy  :hihi:

you should know not to trust them  :hihi:, well in fact they do a good job in some mix ups, but sometimes if you dont ask the right person they do not have an idea of certain cds.

you know they are just opening best buys here? well the other day i went and ask the employes that were outside about  Chinese Democracy and about the exclusive deal , they told me " sure, we will have it but you just be able to get it if you are an "exclusive" member of best buy, you can be one by getting this "card" (i think its like a credit/special disscounts card), do you want to make an aplicattion to have one?"  :rant:   of course i told them not, they had no idea of the cd they just wanted to sell me their card or whatever.

Is the CD coming out in france and when ? does anyone know radios that do or will play new GNR songs ?

I haven't had time to follow GNR since last May and i haven't got a clue.

I think most of the record stores are open on sunday as it is "Christmas time" already when the album is coming out. At least Levykauppa ?x (http://www.recordshopx.com/) gets the album on friday but I'm not sure if they're open on sunday to sell it. If you order it by mail before friday, you get it on monday morning. Or you can go there and ask if they're willing to sell it a little earlier :D

And of course! "Tunnelin levy" at the Helsinki Railway Station is always open on sundays, but if you don't live in Helsinki or near it's a bit of a problem.

I think they mean a double record, which means the record spilt onto two vinyls.

According to several stores here in my town Universal Germany confirmed to the stores managers that the record can be sold at friday already. I even stood beside one when he talked to them on the phone. So 21st is the date (hopefully!).

I can see the release date on the frontpage is the 24th in Denmark. According to www.universal.dk and local shops the release date is the 22nd.

The 22nd is correct. There will be a huge release party at 21nd in Aarhus...

That's not what Universal PR said. The date in those virtual stores are subject to change and it's very possible to have it in the streets before.

I think is more probable that the CD may come after this date and not earlier, as in americanas.com and livrariacultura.com the release is set to 12/04. Doesn't matter what Universal says, the cd is released when it hits the stores, not when the company says it's out. But let's wait and see, I'm not 100% either, after all, we talking about Brazil...  :crying:

When Guns N 'Roses release their first studio album since 1991, it is Saturday May 22 November is lanseringsdagen. Can Chinese Democracy match Death Magnetic and Black Ice?
Earlier this year got Coldplay Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends on a Wednesday, while Metallica selected Friday as lanseringsdag for Death Magnetic. Seventeen years after Use Your Illusion discs is Guns N 'Roses back with Chinese Democracy, and now Saturday pointed out that lanseringsdag.

- We hope of course for a PANG start! Saturday is handledag, so it is important for us to communicate that the album is out on the day, "said Senior Product Manager Eivind Slotsvik in Universal Music.

Although Guns N 'Roses only get a salgsdag in the store, has Slotsvik and Universal Music high ambitions for the debut location for a VG-list the week after, it is among other things ordered the campaign for a TV3.

- We hope of course for 1 place with Chinese Democracy. We go for a shipper to 25,000 copies, and we expect to reach 50,000 to July, "said Slotsvik.

After the success of Metallica and AC / DC, which reached 1 Magnetic space with Death and Black Ice, Universal Music are betting that the same audience to go in the store to buy Chinese Democracy.

- It is an open question what the audience Guns N 'Roses have for so long gone, but many are tense on the album, and we have seen a tremendous interest on all fronts. But record buyers will probably have a hovedtyngde of men 30 plus, in other words, those who have bought Metallica and AC / DC.

Tor Owe Rennemo at musikkverk in Os on the West have rock plate interested buyers as their main catchment, and he believes Chinese Democracy could come out the day any time.

- I think it is going to sell as much regardless of whether it is Monday, Wednesday or Saturday. Although I prefer Monday that slippdag, but Guns N 'Roses on Saturday prefer the guaranteed some extra people to the store this weekend, "said Rennemo.

He also stressed that there are artists with eager fans who have the most to get to launch album day other than Monday.

- We marked no extra rush to the store when Coldplay album got the middle of the week, but with Metallica, there were noticeably. When did it probably 100 CD is the first sale day. The fans are fully aware of the date on which the Chinese Democracy coming, so the troops up in the store on Saturday.

Rennemo mentions Chinese Democracy as the year's third major rock album, but believe that Axl Rose and his new band will be adding behind two other veterans when the state is to be made up.

- Metallica is greatest here with me, AC / DC on 2 space, and I think Guns N 'Roses will himself right back there. But the interest is absolutely true. People thought not that the album would come out, but now it appears that it will finally come true.

Its just JB. They used to be so good with info on everything but now they have raised their prices and couldnt give a fuck about the customer. The Rock/Metal community is their biggest clientel when it comes to music, they should really make an effort.

Seems like November 22 is the new date in Sweden. It says November 22 on iTunes Store, on Megastore.se and cdon.com!
