If these are real it seems to me all of these videos are geared to conincide with the u.s. presidential election, obviously. So you would think these would be put online, or possibly even tv before Nov. 4th. Sometime in the next week or two would make sense. :smoking:

Yes the end is the solo from Chinese Democracy but the begining has the deep pulses from Rhiad. Other videos start off with music and end in a guitar solo from a different song.  :smoking:

Can't believe some are doubting? Right...there's no room for doubt when it comes to GN'R.

As for the cover...it's not hi-res. It's of better quality than the little best buy thumbnail, but it's not hi-res (a video of this nature would compress it to 72 dpi for standard viewing on the internet or non-broadcast television). Reproduction? Fake? Who knows...nothing is official from the band yet so I simply don't know.

Look, I believe the album is coming out in November. No doubts there. I simply think these clips (as exciting as they are) where done by a novice, that's all. It just sounds/looks too over the top with all the politcal references and that cheesy 'The future is ours' line. It plays like a trailer for a direct-to-dvd sci-fi movie.

Again...just my opinion.

The one hanging out of the bottom near the long drip (I think that's what it is), looks like it has a womans body *tilts head sidways* At least I think it look like that....with a big ole alien blob head

Okay, after watching all 16 clips... here's my accurate thoughts.


These clips are official.

They will probably be used on the internet and tv in the upcoming weeks to C.D.

They didn't go overboard and made them all simple clips...

I was they would of changed them up just a bit. They are all the same basically. 14-16 are a little different, but most of them are a little too plain.

Too plain or overboard? I'll take too plain. All the clips are just 15 seconds or so.

They did do a revamped version of Ryiad, which surprised me. There's like 2 or 3 second clips of something fresh in there... like a new song. Sorry and Scraped have to be those... who knows though.

I'm pleased with the steady flow of news and info....

Well if these are legit, it's pretty exciting just to see them, but I could create these in about 3 minutes if I wanted to and I am not a pro by any means when it comes to video. They look like they were done in imovie. What I'm saying is I wouldnt be surprised if they were done by a bored super fan, though the album art seems pretty clear, as is some of the music, so maybe they are real.

Where would they play something like this though? In best buy? web ads?

Looks legit giving that the songs in there sound "finished" vs the demo's.

I like'em, short and to the point, it gets the message done.

Of course they're official promos.  If not, they would have been down by now.

The real clue is that those promos contain music never heard before.  And........"Better" is better.  IRS is slightly different.  

I'm guessing those promos will debut during the World Series which starts in 2 days.  

They reference November outside of November, if you know what I mean.  Hence, they'll be on our living room screens this month.

I'm guessing we'll hear from Axl by Wednesday!

Oh, okay.  I still think they are official.  Without getting too specific, so as to not get in trouble here, in listening to all of them I heard at least 4 snippets of new material.  And the songs we are familiar with sounded MUCH better.  As much as we've heard this material for years now, the album will be fresh from track 1 to 14, IMO.

It seems as though we are given little doses here and there...enough to keep us all buzzin'...but not too much all at once so we O.D.

These videos can be official and finalized products or they might be just some project examples of the company that made them. For the record company. The record company or management (or even best buy) asks like these creative companies to make a promo video, and these companies may show some examples to the record company. This way the record company can choose between the different companies who makes the best.
 Though I believe 16 examples is a bit too much...

Not a chance.  These can only be 'pre-video' ads...pop up material/WebAd...note 15 second length, and lack of TV quality production (Blackscreen with 'moviemaker' effect titles???)...that Fanmade 'commercial' on Youtube, been there a while - you've all seen it, is more 'made-for-tv'.

Even with garbage 'card' for WS, the network won't allow this amateur stuff - nor would anyone pay the money required to run it...unless Axl himself wants to prove his worth as an Ad Man/video editor, and somehow duped the label into paying for the spots!  :hihi:

Some great news to come to first thing today. The clips all sound awesome. I love the fact that its kind of anonymous. You just get the Chinese Democracy image, Axl's scream over it, a brief glimpse of GNR graffiti and Best Buy November 23.

Try buying a 15 second spot...ever seen the 'head on' commercials run twice in row, wonder why?

Give these to any TV network...they will be rejected as 'underproduced' or similar...but perfect for the flash-bang pop up ads on net - myspace, et al...must be quick and to the point to avoid 'clicking the X'.

If they are indeed meant to run, they will have to start appearing soon. They make numerous references to the election, which isn't very far off now.

Does anyone think, this was a part of the marketing strategy? Putting something on a website and taking it down shortly afterwards seems like a marketing trick to me. Anyways it spread around the internet and created some buzz.

I don't see it as a marketing trick since nobody outside GnR forums will notice it, ok maybe Blabbermouth or whatever.
I think someone got hold of the clips and made them available to the public while it wasn't intended to be out as of now.

I just hope to see stuff on TV or as an ad in a magazine. That would make people outside the forums be aware of the fact that the record is coming.

Don't interpret too much and don't expect conspiracies around each and every time something happens in the GnR world.

In the business they hire groups to come up with such stuff and they choose the best group. popflashproductions might be a vengeful dejected group.
