Title: Looking ahead a little...
Post by: Chief on October 18, 2008, 07:29:37 PM
I know it's premature but I can't help to think:

how awesome will the first show of the next tour be?!?!  It would rule if a bunch of hard core fans could all be there like the Hammerstein!!

discuss.

I was just thinking about that yesterday. If the first tour stop is within 3000 miles or so from my house, I'm driving there for it.

Oh holy lord that would be awesome.

I'm going back to Vegas at the end of next May. If by any crazy chance they're playing there then, I'll ofcourse be going!

I totally loved New York but I would rather it was Vegas. I can probably do Vegas a lot cheaper. And as we all know a lot of people out there need to save where they can. I know a lot of the casino's are running great deals out there right now. Just have to stay away from the gambling. So my vote is Vegas. I am so there.

I'm definitely hitting more shows next year than I did in 06. I saw the first Hammerstein show and the one here in Detroit that year.

I'll be seeing all the cities near me on the next tour; Chicago, Cleveland, etc.

I would love to make it to several shows again.  I think a HoB show in AC would be awesome.

If it's in the North East, I will do everything I can to be there for the first show   My financial situation isn't as rosy as it was in 2006, but I'll put myself in some debt to go to at least one show ;D

I live in Minneapolis, but will be in Las Vegas this year from Dec. 25 - Jan. 1. If they decide to do a New Years Eve show this year there, I would be in heaven. I know it's doubtful, but looking at Pollstar, there aren't any New Years Eve shows in Las Vegas announced as of yet, so it's at least possible!

I met this guy who went to 23 shows on the 2006 Tour.

I'd love to be at the first show but it depends on the size of venue.  If it's a theatre-size warm up or even just an arena show, then I'll move heaven and earth to get there, whichever continent it's on.  But, if it's a festival-size crowd, then I'll probably give it a miss.

I went to the first show in Europe in 2006 and I can't say I regreted it cause it was the only show they played There Was A Time in Europe.

However, what I'm REALLY waiting for right now is the press release and the first interview Axl will give.

Those are probably going to be huge, unless Axl is planning to release a book...  Which would be a great move...  Fans and enemies are dying to find out what he has to say about everything...

It's probably gonna be harder to score tickets to shows after CD is released.  Many more people will want to attend the concerts.

Not close to me at all (I'm in Philly)... but I'd like to see them kick things off somewhere where the band already has a long, great history.... like the Warfield Theater in San Francisco. The Hammerstein (NYC) is obviously an important venue for the new band in particular (and would be a lot closer). Either one of those would be cool.

I gotta vote for the Hard Rock, sure it's right down the street from me, but it's one hell of a place to see this band.

The first Hammerstein show was priceless. The atmosphere before and during that show is something will be hard to duplicate

I would love to see them at Madison Square Gardens or Hammerstein, so many great reviews, and have not traveled to New York before, I have seen them at Hardrock and that was unforgettable, would definately be up for another show there.

I would like them to play Seattle and Tacoma or Everett again ! only place I would travel beyond WA state would be Las Vegas.
