What song(s) would ya'll like to hear on the next leg of the tour with the new lineup (that haven't been played yet) that the illusions version of gnr played during their last tour?

Me...I'd like to hear civil war and estranged.  I think the new lineup would rock these songs!!!

With Axl playing some acoustic like in Argentina 1993.

Along with Civil War and Estranged, how about Coma? Talk about a great way to show off their "chops." And did they ever perform Don't Damn Me?

DDM was never played live.  And it's also my favorite GN'R song.  Go figure.

Oh boy, that's tough! There's so many amazing songs on UYI. But I'd say:

Yesterdays, Locomotive, Estranged (obligatory!), Double Talkin' Jive and Dust N' Bones with Robin on vocals! :hihi:

Breakdown, Estranged and 14 years with Izzy would be real cool.

And no more of that Technical Difficulties tune that has been played to death : ok:

They'll continue to play November Rain...I think that's pretty much a given.  Beyond that I'd like to see them mix it up from show to show.  And they can drop Live and Let Die all together.  I don't see them adding Estranged because its difficult to play and this band already has their hands full with the new material.  But Civil War, Yesterdays, and Dead Horse would all be cool.

wouldn't play them at every concert though.. switching them around a bit, i'd prefer a setlist with a majority of the songs from CD.. any setlist is of course great but yeah.. how many setlist threads and discussions have thwew been at this board alltime?  :P

They need to drop LALD,KOHD and YCBM, Bring in Civil War, Dead Horse,Estranged and Breakdown.

As a huge fan of the Illusion albums i would like to hear a lot of these songs, but a few highlights would be Dead Horse, The Garden, Yesterdays, locomotive, Estranged, Coma, and  It's Alright ( Black Sabbath Cover) as the intro to November Rain again. Those would be great alongside a bunch of new songs once the album is released.  8)

I'd love to see Perfect Crime again.  Right Next Door to Hell would be nice too.   : ok:

I'd rather potential spots in the tracklist where given to more new songs over old..

But some songs I would liked from UYI 1 & 2 in the setlist.. "14 Years", "Estranged", "Right Next Door to Hell", "Garden of Eden", "Perfect Crime"..

A full proper band version of "Don't Cry" would be great too..

"Civil War" n' "Estranged" are classics that cannot be out from a Gn'R setlist... also would love see live again Dead Horse, RNTH, Garden Of Eden n' Breakdown, for example. I prefer some of that one instead of covers like KOHD (prefer the UYI II version, more "gunner"), LALD, Down in the farm or Sailing...

I'm with the majority here...

1. Estranged (I'd love to see the new band accept this challenge); and
2. Civil War

I love Breakdown... one of my favs of UYI2. But it has a similar feel to "The Blues".... so I doubt it would be played.

Estranged!!!!!!!!!!!! It would be sick... if the solos would be split evenly with all 3 guitarists doing solos.

I don't know if Axl can pull it off... but... Locomotive is amazing.

Among my favorite GNR songs that I'd love to hear would be Breakdown, Dead Horse, and Rocket Queen (though I heard that one live once already and I know it's an AFD song)  My point is though, I'd really be happy with ANY songs they played maybe outside of My World and Silkworms.

More CD and UYI stuff. Less Appetite.

I love DEAD HORSE and would be thrilled to have it. I would love Civil War too, because that song hits hard man.

but lets be honest here, the one that we are all waiting for is ESTRANGED. I understand it's a complicated tune, but I was surprised that it had not made it into any set list yet. I actually began to think that maybe Axl didn't like it anymore or something...which made me sad, because I love it. Anyway, in reading the chat transcripts I was glad to see that Axl would "like" to work it in someday. I just hope it's this go 'round.

No. Locomotive was played a few times during the "Use Your Illusion" tour. Only 4-5 times if I'm not wrong.

Estranged was usually played in the 91 & 92 "Use Your Illusion" tour. Don't know the exact number though.

I think Axl was onto something when he suggested Civil War and Estranged.  Don't Damn Me would be nice, but that was more of a Slash song wasn't it?

Absolutely must play Coma...also Dead Horse and Civil War would be nice.

Estranged has been played more often then Locomotive. Civil War needs to be played. Can see the new band playing it.

I love them all, and I could never pick one.  Any of them would be fine.  BUT, there is just something about the way Axl sings Knockin' on Heaven's Door.  My husband and I were listening to it the other day, and he made the comment that it was like that song was just made for Axl to sing.  I totally agree.

I'd love to see a rotating setlist.

Oh, I would love to hear Civil War, Estranged, and Coma for sure!!!!  To be honest, I would go hear Axl sing no matter what...even if he was singing twinkle twinkle little star and had the Wiggles for the opening act!

I would think Axl is more likely to play songs he had a big hand in creating, esp from the UYI days.

Didn't Slash come up with the music for Coma?  Axl might feel
a little bit strange playing that one. 

For example, it would be weird for Slash to play November Rain now.  That's
an "axl" song. 

We the fans want Axl to play what ever his is comfortable with, and wants to perform.

Don't Cry and November Rain are thankfully a given on this tour.

Based on the recent interview by Del has led me to believe that Axl is entirely happy/satisfied with UYI. Not creatively/sonically/musically. That's why I don't see them playing many UYI songs, period.

I agree, they can drop YCBM, we've heard it 20 million times. It's a great song, but I'd just love to hear Estranged or Dead Horse in its place.
