Title: AXL and Triumph..... Post by: jazjme on July 20, 2008, 03:20:09 AM OK this is weird , but does anyone see the singing similarities, between Axl and and the lead singer of the band Triumph.
and just a lil info on that band.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumph_(band)#History BUT if you are a critical listener to music, and I know many are here, from we have heard ..... since Twat, I felt this. Could be way wrong,.... but read there history, (faceless band).. kinda intriguing. IF this isn't appropriate to discuss, by all means delete . But I see no harm . :peace: and just a tid bit here in the bio if you read..... MCA Records executive Irving Azoff demonstrated his faith in the trio by co-opting their debts and signing them for five albums. Following their 1984 label change, MCA took over distribution of their old catalogue for ten years. Title: Re: AXL and Triumph..... Title: Re: AXL and Triumph..... Post by: ppbebe on July 20, 2008, 12:40:06 PM You meant that the manager's company took over distribution of their old catalogue?
You first asked if we see the similarities, between Axl and and the lead singer of the band Triumph. That's why. anyhoo this sounds interesting. Quote Moore once described Triumph as a cross between Emerson, Lake & Palmer and The Who.[2] Guitarist Emmett's songwriting style showed a progressive rock influence, as well as displaying his classical music influence; each Triumph album included a classical guitar solo piece. like Robman suggested, a link to their music would be nice.Title: Re: AXL and Triumph..... Post by: Rapunzel on July 20, 2008, 12:44:48 PM You meant that the manager's company took over distribution of their old catalogue? :o For me, this is what is interesting..... Title: Re: AXL and Triumph..... Post by: Rapunzel on July 29, 2008, 10:39:20 AM Oh, I thought you were talking about the motobike.
Now, that would make so much more sense... Title: Re: AXL and Triumph..... Post by: D on August 09, 2008, 06:49:01 AM Sorry dude but horrible comparison
U are comparing that to one of the greatest ever? Title: Re: AXL and Triumph..... Post by: jazjme on August 10, 2008, 12:39:33 AM its a dead horse now, as many don't see the point I was making, and sorry D Triumph have had more success over a span than GNR, and Im not a Triumph fan,(just grew up in the 70s and 80s when they were relevant), just was pointing out some similarities.
Title: Re: AXL and Triumph..... Post by: D on August 10, 2008, 01:06:19 AM Triumph have had more success than GNR?
this is April Fool's right? Title: Re: AXL and Triumph..... Post by: jazjme on August 10, 2008, 03:31:53 AM do some research, lol ,(nevermind I will for you) again Im not trying to pit then together but look at there history.. is all Im saying.
Triumph is a Canadian heavy metal band that was popular in the late 1970s through the 1980s. Eight of the band's albums were certified gold or higher, and Triumph was nominated for multiple Juno Awards, including Group of the Year Award in 1979, 1985, 1986 and 1987. ANd my only point was that they have similar range if you cant hear that , then well maybe you need to see an ear doctor :hihi:, and my other point was the fact that they share the same manager now. so wtf is with people getin all outta wack this isnt me sayng GNR is like tirumph. only similar vocal style, and management connection is all I was saying. or pointing : out , but like always here things get twisted. Such is life it happens. :peace: |
