I think season 4 was one of those like in a trilogy where sometimes part 2 sets up the finale..... I think season 4 is setting up some big stuff in season 5. His kid dies, and a few episodes later he's seemingly fine. They over-did the death thing ( and ripped of NYPD Blue) by having everyone the guy loves start to die and now it's just dumb because they all pop up and have conversations with him. This is the only problem I have with the show As far as the hanging out in the Firehouse, the constant jokes aimed at Probey and Garrity, it's great ** If you think anyone would pick an old and beat up Susan Sarandon over that Hot Black chick you'd be out of your mind! They are doing mini-sodes this summer- they are like 7 minutes long and single scenes. It is a tease! Cant wait for the next one. I actually thought one of the best moments was when Tommy's kid was killed. That was shocking and absolutely unexpected which is great!
