i cant take it anymore. Theres people who have got this on the saturday just gone and i cant find any shops that will sell it me early cause they are all nobs.

ive phoned everywhere i can think of that isnt too far to travel n ive had no luck at all. I wouldnt of minded waiting till tommorow, i have it pre-ordered at a cheap price, but then i found out via email, they didnt ship it today to arrive tommorow. They ship it tommorow so it will most likely arrive wednesday, i will have murdered someone by then.

Who else is in severe pain in waiting for this?

and who knows a way to get it NOWWWWW (in the voice of the girl from willy wonkas chocolate factory movie)

What I heard is that some people got it early by mail because there was some mistake, no store has the balls to break the street date 'cause it will get them in serious financial trouble.

But I will admit that the Euphoria technology the game is using is pretty cool

I'll be able to get it at 10 tonight when I get off work.  I know the girl that works in the electronic department at Wal-Mart and she'll usually slide me a copy of what I need (in return I'll generally buy her a beer at the bar at a future date).  It's a sick and dirty operation, but it keeps me 2 hours ahead of the rest of the people. 

Ever heard of torrents? Half internet has been palying the game since last week. And yes, it is the best GTA  and there is still so much to do even with missions complete, it is huge :peace:

agreed. Its gonna be a while before i ever purchase enough game, with the special exception of MGS4.

I'd love to get it but the only hitch is I don't have a PS3. Oh well, one day....

Been playing it for 3 hours now, pretty fucking fun.  The online games are kickass.  The dude at Wal-Mart was saying that there is a $5000 fine PER game if they got caught selling it before 12:01 AM on 4/29.

i have played it non stop all day. finally stopping.

DAMN ITS FUN. wish i could get online but the servers are flooded.

I'd love to play it but I don't have a few hundred dollars to drop on a new console.

I've played about 8 hours total and I can't put it down. The game is incredible. There's so much to do and the city is so immersive.

Game of the Year for sure.

How would you compare it to San Andreas?

I personally hated San Andreas, this game owns all.

when i started to play the game yesterday 11 am i had my doubts could it be as good as they say, its getting 10/10 ratings everywhere and the hype and everything.. at the moment i've played the game for more than 10 hrs and it is so addicting.. absolutely my favorite game of all time and the city is HUGE and beautiful  :)

Only thing that puts me off this game is it's set in liberty city(again!).

haha yeah i've thought about getting a ps3 since most of my "internet buddies" has ps3's.. but almost all my real life friends have 360 so i think about going with that :) i think i might order 360 already today, i need it

I've been waffling on getting it, or waiting on it.

I'm in the middle of like 4 or 5 different games at the moment...

But I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm going to pick it up this weekend.

And I have both a PS3 and an Xbox 360.  I think I'm gonna pick up the PS3 version as I hear that the graphics are just a tad better.

Oh, for sure...it's a very small difference.

But EVERYTHING else being equal...and given the fact I have both a 360 and a PS3....I figure I'll go with the version that's considered "better", even if it' just by a small tad.

Also, my PS3 is hooked up via HDMI.....my 360 via component (it's an early rev of the console...about 2 or 3 months after launch...so no HDMI on it).  Again, a small advantage but an advantage all the same.

Anyone know if GTA:IV supports the new dualshock for the PS3 (as in, is there rumble?).  Just wondering.

xbox 360 has some frame rate issues with the game. And the online game is very much a big fun factor, with xbox360 your gonna have to pay for xbox live and get milked, whereas on ps3 online play is FREE  :D

But also remember........Xbox360 is going to have some exclusive downloadable add-on missions and such coming out in the next month(s) that PS3 isn't going to.
 

the ps3 is going to get content. just not as soon as xbox360.

Well, I came home last night to find that I had the decision made for me.

My wife and I had been talking about picking up a new Sony video camera.  My oldest has just started T-ball, and the school funtions are starting....and our old Canon Hi-8 camera is a handful and a half...not to mention a pain in the kiester to transfer to DVD.

So...you're asking what this has to do with GTA IV?

She decided to pick up the camera, yesterday, at circuit city.  Decent sale going on and we had a 10% off coupon, to boot.  While there...she decided to pick up GTA IV for PS3 for me. 

I played for a few hours last night....and I'm sucked in but good.

the hardest part to get used to is the car driving and the aiming IMO, also the camera view while driving is fucking with me sometimes but you get used to it pretty quick anyway

Yeah, like all of these types of games...I find the camera can get wonky sometimes and screw things up.

The aiming and driving thing drives me batty sometimes.  Sometimes it's super easy....again, I think the camera angle that you "get" effects how much adjustment you have to make, and thus how hard it becomes.

Anyone know when it is to come out on PC, or is it already?

What about PS1 and the Sega Saturn?
