Title: looking for some help finding some songs... Post by: cotis on April 23, 2008, 07:43:58 PM Hey all,
Thanks for help in advance. Doing a project for school to find and analyze songs with 'heavy bass lines' or 'deep/dark sounding' rock songs. Thing is that they can't be metal. I knew that would be the easiest, but can't do it. Some examples I've had so far that were given were; Audioslave - Jewel of the Summertime STP - Dead N' Bloated Audioslave - Shape of things to Come (teacher is a big STP & Audioslave fan, so somewhat biased) Just looking for some examples from you guys to help out, thanks! Title: Re: looking for some help finding some songs... Bug Powder Dust - Bomb the Bass: ok: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncHsp1Sn5-M Climbatize - The Prodigy (it's an instrumental though - bass kicks in after 90 seconds or so) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaMAmvv6FME Lots of songs by The Who - The Real Me for example. Uhm....if they don't have to be rock, how about "The Humpty Dance?" (embarrassed for saying that out loud). As for "deep, dark sounding" rock songs, any track off "Boxer" by The National will do. Out last year, so recent as well. Title: Re: looking for some help finding some songs... Post by: CheapJon on April 26, 2008, 12:27:25 PM I like the bassline in the song "sick" by "dope" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8LR1QQr0OQ

Looking for only rock, but thanks for the other suggestions everyone!! |
