Title: The Offspring
Post by: JB9988 on April 13, 2008, 02:05:32 PM
Dexter just announced that their new CD will be called ?Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace? and will be released on June 17. The first single will be out in early may called hammerhead (wiki said May 9th). I cant wait finally they have date and new music. I cant wait for a new world tour, them and GnR would be sick .

I don't see them and GnR touring cause of the whole "Chinese Democracy...snooze you looze" thing, which was pretty funny. I am a fan, I actually think their a band that's improved with age. I like the post Smash stuff better, and the two indie albums are real good.

i wish they wernt releasing a new album for the fact that i have to see them get completely overplayed on music TV stations now. Its already happening, like an Offspring song every 5 seconds.

I'm not a fan of The Offspring, never owned an album, and never really cared for their music.  After listening to clips of "Rise and Fall" on iTunes and Amazon, I was surprised at how good it sounded - the best elements of Bad Religion combined with some cheese-rock, harmonized melodies, which I'm always a sucker for - and ended up buying it yesterday.  I can't say it makes me want to go back and listen to any of their old material, but I'm really impressed with this record.  Good stuff.

They've made a solid comeback with this album.  Much better than their last two releases.  Does any one else notice the heavy Police and Green day influence in the last two tracks, respectively?
