Welcome aboard man. You are absolutely right, this is a MENTAL GNR show. Great recording. This is the famous December 7, 1988, Tokyo show. This show has been circulating for a long time, probably since before 1990. There is a CD with this show called 3rd Gig, it was made in the early 90's, you can buy it on eBay (not very easy to find, but it shows up there eventually). Just get it man, you won't regret and you will have this show forever with you on CD. Welcome aboard man. ********** Look here for more info on this and other shows: http://gnrontour.com/setlistalm88.htm 12.07.88 - Nakano Sunplaza, Tokyo, Japan opening act: ? set: You're Crazy, It's So Easy, Move To The City, Mr. Brownstone, Out Ta Get Me, I Was Only Joking [Intro] / Patience, Rocket Queen, Guitar Solo, Welcome To The Jungle, My Michelle, Mother / Only Women Bleed [Intro] / Knockin' On Heaven's Door, Nightrain encore 1: Sweet Child O' Mine, Used To Love Her encore 2: Mama Kin, Guitar Jam, Paradise City audio/video recording?: audio, video notes: Axl mentions how all the Japanese fans are following them all over Japan. Steven has a drum solo during Rocket Queen. Slash leads the crowd in a "hey fuckers!" chant. Slash plays a bit of Pink Floyd's "Mother" as an intro to KOHD, something he would later play as an intro to Paradise City on the UYI tour. Izzy shares lead vocals with Axl on Mama Kin, although Axl's voice is more prominent. There are a lot of bootlegs with that show, but the one you're specifically mentioning is the ''audience recording'' one. Try these ones, 10/10 soundboard: Self Destruct Era [Aces High] Nakano Sunplaza - Tokyo, Japan Silver CD's > EAC > APE 590 Mb / Incomplete Concert - Soundboard Recording Self Destruct Era (Complete & New Remastered Edition (2006) [Aces High] Nakano Sunplaza - Tokyo, Japan CDR (originally released by CDR) > EAC > WAV > FLAC Frontend [Level 8] 678 Mb Self Destruction Blues [Langley] Nakano Sunplaza - Tokyo, Japan Unknown [Probably CDR? > EAC > WAV > FLAC Frontend (Level 8)] 669 Mb / Complete Concert - Soundboard Recording patched with audience version of ''Paradise City'' Title: Re: Audio from tokyo 1988 GNR concert link Post by: Slash Jr. on April 14, 2008, 08:39:39 PM Jesus fucking christ thats amazing thanks for the link dude! : ok:

I have the 2CD edition, full concert. I love it. I don't think the sound on these other records are any better!
