Title: Planning in the GNR Camp ?
Post by: GnR-NOW on March 24, 2008, 11:10:06 AM
This probably isn't a big deal, but I am a huge GNR fan, so that means I look into any angle when change to anything related to GNR.  However, every once in a while I would type in guns n roses at the Ticketmaster site, and obviously it says no dates scheduled, but when I did it the other day it said nationally scheduled dates, but obviously nothing is listed.  You can say I'm over analytical or read too much into things, and I probably do.  But the positive side of me feels that theres something good going on ............

i did a google search a few days ago and a spanish site mentioned upcoming shows but no specific dates. i took this as just rumours though... ticketmaster on the other hand are pretty ruputable when it comes to gigs and tour schedules....so hopefully, maybe, possibly etc

edit.....just been on ticketmaster uk and it says
guns 2 roses     nationally scheduled dates  (belfast 30-05-08)
guns n' roses    no scheduled dates

why would they tour?  There is NOTHING to promote.

I mean it's probably nothing, but ever since the 2006 tour ended, when I did check it used to say no dates scheduled nationally.  Bach hinted he'd be touring with a big band in the summer.  Richard and Dizzy are doing some shows during the end of the Month, and I think Dizzy has some in April, not sure on that, so its conceivable maybe they might do a few shows in the late spring.  I really hope they do, I can't believe the Hammerstein shows were almost 2 years ago.

There was nothing to promote in 2001, 2002, 2006, and 2007.  If they tour in 2008 and theres nothing to promotoe I'm fine with that.  The way I look at it is, I was too young to go to the shows from 1991-1993.  So when they tour now its like I'm getting my chance to see the band.

my feelings too....i dont give a fuck about nothing to promote.. if the band want to tour with no record thats fine with me. Gn'R are my fav band so i will see them regardless. i was lucky enough to see them in 91' and ive seen them every opportunity since and i will continue to do so regardless!

Unless something has changed very recently, I know that the band are not planning to tour until the release has been finalized.

Mysteron, does the band know that the true fans have their back?  And that we'll support them no matter what?

Then it looks like we will all sing along to new songs on the next tour  : ok:

That is a pretty fucking amazing thing to think about!

Does that mean they can tour before the album is released, or are they goign to wait until its released before they tour?

Mysteron, thanks for all of your updates .

I know that sucks.  I again, was pumped in 06' especially since they kicked so much more ass then 02'.

Sebastian Bach is supposed to be touring with Poison later this year. That was his "big huge band" he was talking about.....LAME!!

the fact that there is no movement, is a bit disappointing to me to be honest.

The whole album and band are "us against the world" attitude, whcih is great, but the fact the album plans aren't even moving slightly is, well, disappointing. I thought Axl woudl be fighting tooth and nail to get this thing out and restore his reputation as the one true rock star left...

Sure there must be a lot of legal Bs to get through, but thats for the lawyers and the more he rides the lawyers, then then the closer he can expect to drop the album......

As usual, this is all midnless speculation, but "no movement" is a worry to me.

How could you get the idea that Axl is not "fighting tooth and nail to get this thing out" from what Mysteron said?

people might get offended but.. get a life! worry about stuff that means something and you can fix!

axl want this thing out more then you i'm sure and he's doing the best he can to get it out

patience is a virtue and im all bout wating hence will get the album when we get it; but i have to stay this stagnent wait is getting rather redundant.  How complicated could it actualy be?  I'm sure there is all kinds of behind the scenes drama but really this aproach to getting us the music is starting to get stale.

I get the feeling that the next "big news" will be an official band / label statement, whenever the time comes.  It *is* good to know that you're still stopping by, Mysteron, and I always appreciate whatever insight you have to offer, no matter how vague circumstances may allow it to be...

Man this is getting real fucking frustrating. Since it's now over a year since the "tentative" release date, some word just has to be coming soon ... doesn't it?

Mysteron, thanks for your continued updates.

We are ultimately clueless though as to what is really going on.

We can just hope that the next significant update is when things will really get rolling. Whether that could be today, tomorrow, in a week, in a month, a year..

I'm hoping it means something...I had FRONT ROW seats to the Tennessee show back in 2006!! They better come somewhere close again!

lol, seats at a gig.

For what its worth (which is really not very much) I will see them if they come to Scotland without an album, because I'e not seen them live before.  However, for others who saw them for example on the last UK tour...well, the ticket's weren't exactly a tenner, were they?  I imagine a number of people want the new record before spending so much to see them again.

My feeling is a bit the same as other's here... I also believe there is no moving. I do not believe in the 'new GN'R' anymore, the hype is over.
Ok, great artists tough, but no result (read: studio work).

Even, what if CD is comming out this year, or next year or within 25 years....who is still waiting for this? (except for some hundreds diehards around the globe).

And about the touring: be honest, offcourse I like seeing them, but after 4 times...I really seen them now. It's time for something new, or just stop the whole madness. I think GN'R camp should give us something: if there is nothing in the plans, then let us now because then we now it is all over, if there are new plans: well, why not letting us now? Why is that so difficult? Other artists do not have a problem giving their fans REGULAR updates about new plans!

Why did I choose Guns to be favourite band!  :P Goddamn, so frustrating!  :hihi:
