I think I've heard 'SCOM' in bars more than any other GNR song, though...

Wow..another bad RS list.  Don't get me wrong...there are a lot of good songs here.  But "Tiny Dancer"?  I love Elton, but that's no bar song.  And Journey?  C'mon.  For pure sing-a-long appeal, "American Pie" should be on there, and probably "Rock 'n' Roll All Night."

i would think "Nightrain" is more appropriate...

While I personally agree, it's less likely to get sing-a-long from the less serious fans.  :)

???  Except for #5 - I don't get any of it........who drinks to Tiny Dancer and Don't Stop Believin'?!?

I would think something by Zeppelin or Metallica should be in there.   Johnny Cash makes for good drinking songs, too.

I think Aerosmith - Don't Wanna Miss a Thing should be in there, as an aussie i'd have to say Khe Sahn by Cold Chisel to

I think Don't Want To Miss A Thing would be the last aerosmith drinking song in there, put in Back In The Saddle or Train Kept A Rollin' (or dude like's like a lady, for the tranny lovers)

Classic rock did a list like this recently, but it was a lot better.

In no order;;

Judas Priest - Livin' After Midnight
Ozzy Osbourne - Flying High Again
Steppenwold - Born To Be Wild
Kiss - Rock n' Roll All Nite
Guns N' Roses - Nightrain
ZZ Top - Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers
Scorpions - Blackout
Billy Idol - Mony Mony
Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town
Tank - Blood Guts and Beer
The Kingsmen - Louie Louie
Motley Crue - Dr Feelgood
AC/DC - Big Balls  (classic choice lol)
Pogues - Any Song
Van Halen - Panama
Electric Angels - The Drinking Song
Alice Cooper - Public Animal Numer 9
Dead Kennedys - Too Drunk To Fuck
Def Leppard - High N' Dry

I think Flogging Molly - Drunken Lullabies should be one of the top songs.  Someone already mentioned the Pogues, but Flogging Molly and even Dropkick Murphy's should be added, especially on St. Patrick's Day.

Don't Stop Believing has been rejuvinated thanks to the Soprano's finale..How about WTTJ, thats a perfect song for anything...Except perhaps a 1st Dance at a wedding....

^^that's a killer idea!

i think RS's list sucks.  i don't associate most of those songs with drinking.  the second list is much better.

i agree wit some of the list... but how could you not have you shook me all night long?... or any ACDC for that matter,, the Journey i get.. that always seems to fire people up at bars.. myself included.. my list would be

PC - gnr
Shook me - ACDC
pour some sugar - def leppard
don't stop believin- journy
Laid- James
Youth Gone wild- Skid row
Crazy Bitch or lit up- Buckcherry
Nothin but a good time- poison
Livin on a prayer- BonJovi
Sweet child- GNR

ok, why do we think journey songs are good drinking songs?

and the only gnr song i would consider a drinking song would be nighttrain.  and where are george thorogood's "i drink alone" and AC/DC's "have a dink in me"???

Ok that list seriously sucks!!!!!!!!!! what about:

I Got Loaded - Los Lobos
Red Wine - ub40
I'm Not Drunk, I'm Just Drinking - BB King - I think?
One Bourbon, One Shot, and One Beer - Todd Rungren?
Definitely KISS
Definitely ACDC - big Balls
I would walk 500 miles - don't know
Mony, mony - Billy IDOL
Pogues - any song I agree
Heavy, heavy fuel
Wild Wild Life - Talking Heads
Movin Out is more party than Piano man

The RS list sounds more like when you're crying the blues or mellow.

I could totally go on but I will refrain.

One Bourbon, One Shot, and One Beer - Todd Rungren?

You're probably thinking of George Thorogood and the Destroyers' cover of the John Lee Hooker song. It is a good one, as is JLH's Whiskey and Wimmen'.

How can nobody named Thin Lizzy's "Whisky in the jar"??? The fav song from the irish drunkers...

also maybe some John Thoorogood like "If You don't start drinkin'", "I drink alone" or "a scoth, a bourbon and a beer"

Hanoir rocks "cigarettes and a beer" would be fine too...

I think the list was more about songs that fire you up while drinking.. rather than songs about drinking..
i agree thoorogood.. has some gems about drinking..
acdc have a drink on me
buckcherry  whiskey in the morning... the refrain in this gem goes something like.. drinkin smokin snortin highs.. can't stop drinking gonna die.. haha  i might be missing some words there but that is the gist of it.
