I did better this game.

I only made one error last game and that was drafting DH Smith third.



Drafting Lashley was not a mistake cause had he not been a bitch and quit, Id be competing for the title I am sure. He was a great pick at the time so I have no regrets with that one.

I have definitely been a curse the last few games.

Batista, HBK, Lashley, John Cena, and HHH had a death in the family and missed time.  I had Benoit in another game I play last year.

I am cursed.

However, Me and Law have a great shot at tag team gold.

I would like to propose a new rule to the game.


I believe that if a wrestler is injured and misses significant time, he should be treated as a Free Agent or New Debut upon returning.


Take John Cena this game. He was out for 9 months and When he came back is was like a debut and basically whoever is watching the PPV benefits from that.


Rules were put in place like the debut to even the playing field. To not give unfair advantages to spoiler readers, time difference etc.


Cena is a gamechanging player cause u are adding a bonafide number 1 pick in a fifth slot.


So I would like from now on, Injured wrestlers who miss significant time and arent chosen in the draft, should then go to new debut.

Say for example, Edge was hurt right now and we were about to draft. U hear Edge may be back in a month so u can go ahead and draft him.

However

If he goes undrafted, his return is then treated like a debut and everyone bids when he comes back.

What would the time span limits be?  What if someone is picked up while they are still "Injured" in storylines but word is out they are back on a house show or their return is imminent?  I mean say Gregory Helms is rumoured to be returning in a week so someone picks him up, but then you say "Woah dude, you can't do that, if he's returning he should be treated like a debutant, let's all bid for him."  Then bidding starts and it turns out the internet rumour is false and he's still out for a further 3 months, where do you draw the line?  If someone had made a good guess and picked John Cena up the day before he returned would that of been ok?  Rules need definent boundaries and no murky waters, any way you could, de-murkify the water?

I think that if by the start of the game injured players have not been drafted than you do not allow them to be bid on untill they make an appearance on television. Much like we do with a debut.  :smoking:

D's got the right idea, but I have another proposal...

You can't just pick anybody up anymore. Get rid of the $20 000 fee for anybody not already picked up... Radical, eh?

Well, here's how I break it down. Basically, if you want to pick anybody up, you have to table a bid for them. If it's not met within the 48 hours that we're using, then he's yours. That would completely eliminate the time difference / spoiler reading aspect of the game. I know that I for one completely lose out on all of that.

It makes it more competetive because you would have to calculate the risk in all cases. How much you would be willing to pay, whether it is worth it, and also it gets everybody else on your case... This would cover injured participants, it would purify those muddy ol' waters and, finally, all advantages for the postmen are eliminated!

Up for it? Or not so much?

Yeah that works fine, covers the bases and also means the waters are no less murky.  Simply put, you want someone from the draft list, new, old you bid and you get them if nobody else bids within' 48 hours, yeah that's cool, i'm fine with that, how does everyone else feel?

Or and another idea, just to add to the greatness of the game, the winner next game will get a prize, i'll give more information when more people vote in the other thread for the goddamn title of this game dammit!

Waiting for Gnrfan, sweet, Cowbell and Evolution Mr.X.  Basically I think it's best to assume their in (They can always be removed at request) and start drafting asap (so be ready), since the new game is due to start 2 weeks monday.

You know for sure that I am in, and I think the new rules about bidding on returning injured wrestlers is fair, because the Cena pick up is going to give Hammy the win this game, and picking UP HBK last game made the difference I needed to win the last game.


I am a little uncertain how the bidding will work, so each guy will get a total of $120,000 to spend for the whole game and can bid that however they want on whoever they want. We are still going to have a limit right, because without a limit you could bid whatever you want, unless you make all bids based on points not dollars.

I want to clarify that I am not singling out Hammy at all this game.

I mean hell, everyone has probably done it, I've probably benefited in the past.


But the truth is, it is a little unfair,especially a game this big with so limited wrestlers.

Cause if we have a close game and u can grab a HHH or HBK or Cena and replace a 5th pick, that is huge. So u basically are getting a 5th pick for 20,000 whereas Big Show costs 120,000 and points. Big Show is nowhere as valuable as Cena.

I understand Big Show retired technically but it could've been a long injury in all honesty.

Guys like McIntire, etc dont count cause they aren't game changers. we are talkin maineventers here.

i don't want TNA in here, I don't follow it at all anymore and don't really want to. If some people want a TNA game then thats fine but this is the WWE game.

It gives people who have access to TNA a big advantage.

I agree I dont really want TNA in the game either because my interest in TNA is only in passing. I really have no idea about the TNA roster and have no idea whos getting pushes or wtf is going on in it. I use to be really into it but now I watch it maybe once a month and read spoilers occaisionally. I would perfer this to stay a WWE game only.  :smoking:

....Nobody here seems to care about ECW, it'd be like sayin' back in the day their ratings were on par with Sunday Night Heat.

Yeah but half the time ECW show has Raw or SD wrestlers on it and ecw guys show up on sd and somtimes raw and the PPV so we have to draft them, they are all part of the same company and can wrestle on any show, the brand split is a joke so they can have 3 heavyweight championship matches each ppv.

Everyone has made great picks so far.  I like HBK i just dont see him winning any titles, so I passed on him cause of that.

I chose Matt Hardy and think he is a great pick because "he is gonna win something, Either money in the bank or the US Title. He wrestles EVERY show and he just came back from a huge absence so that means he won't have any time off.

Good luck with him D, he did so well for me in the last game.  I think Jeff would be a better pick becuase when this games starts he should only have 30 days left of suspention and I think he will be right back on the top of Raw. Yeah I had MVP, Kane, Finlay and Umaga as people I was drafting second on my list, With Kane being ontop that list of four. I don't see why its a gamble when he shows up on ECW or SD weekly and sometimes both in the same week, only week thing I see about him is he they dont find room on PPVs for him.

 thought with Rasputin joining I would miss out on the entire group, but I actually get a choice here. While finlay is a hell of a face and has shown up on three brands in the last few months. Now that the cruiserweight title is gone (being that Hornswoggle wrestling as much isnt going to happen which is the main reason we seen finlay more), and the Battle Between Vince and Finaly seems like it will come to an end at WM where he will probalby use his shileah to bust open JBL, I don't see many people left on SD for him to fued with unless he goes to ECW or RAW I don't see him fueding with anyone on SD. Love to see him become US Champion and fued with MVP but I don't think it will happen.

Now onto Umaga, He is almost a for sure +5 atleast weekly as he is on every raw, and depending on what PPV is coming up and is he has a match on it is whether or not he will be a jobber or butt kicker on Raw. I think I am going to go Heel here and take the Samoan Bulldozer!

Its getting to the point where I think we need to rethink some stuff.


My main beef right now is probably scoring.

With such a low number of scoring wrestlers. If someone gets a hot champion, I just feel the title points etc are way too high.

I think it should be more like 10 for a defense, 15 to win that way Champions aren't more heavily weighted.

Cause if u get a couple champs who defend, u are gonna win.  If u dont have any champions are your roster. its gonna be very tough to compete.

I remember a few games back, the one Malcolm won, Neemo had John Cena and 4 of us on his roster and came within 10 pts of a title. That shouldnt happen.

Also, I think there should be scoring for In Ring Promos and Run In's etc. Its a shame when your wrestler is apart of the show for 30 minutes and gets 0 pts.  Promos in the ring are just as much apart of wrestling as the actual wrestling. This would solve some problems cause it would make people like Vince McMahon a valuable pick. william regal.

This old scoring model worked for 8 to 10 but now its getting a little outdated.

Im not sayin u get pts for a guy walkin backstage, but if its a part of the show such as a promo, backstage interview, run in, u should get something.

So they should count as match pts

Anyway, are you trying to imply that Neemo did well because of title points or...Cena....let's face facts....People who get Cena have the major advantage, he's a scoring machine.  Picking someone who is going to win a belt, in many cases one would see as a skill, look at this game, haven't you picked Kane because you think you have seen something nobody else has?  If he comes through shouldn't you be rewarded?  How many times have you picked a Diva up mid-game in the belief she will win the Gold.  In this game there's more than just a few title points between a lot of the winners and losers, look at your team dude, is it title points that have cost you or a lack of activty, I mean Hornswoggle was good 'til he ended up in hospital, and you also picked Ashley....Gone, Maria.....wrestles now and then......and Matt Hardy.....still absent.  You picked an inactive wrestler in Lashley and he never returned, we've all done it but shit happens.

Oh, on an extra sidenote about Champions, in the current game, the person with the MOST champions on his team is 10th, he has 3, whereas Jim, in second, who's led for most of the game is 2nd and has none, and I've only overtaken him because of the "Theft" of a Non-Champion (Albeit a very good one...)

Finlay is in a big angle with Vince right now. that is always a great sign as he will be wrestilng and Vince will do all he can to take Finlay out.

So Definitely a steal. I dont know how Kendrick and Palumbo and Festus went over him.

Well believe it or not, in the current game Palumbo and Festus have scored more points than him.

People complain about no one to pick and they take people like Kendrick and Palumbo , and Fetus. For me I thought Finlay was a solide second round pick for me. Goes to show each their own as I don't think I would of picked Palumbo at all or Kendrick unless no one was left in the 5th round and the Jesse and Fetus angle on SD  has gotten stale with me and I dont think they would be around come summerslam.

People seem to think there is no one left in the game to pick after your Triple H's, Cenas, and main eventers are gone.  You are building a team and you need to have a solid team, I think there are good mid carders left as listed below:

U cant judge a game based on the last game because what someone does the previous game means shit.


Finlay got outscored by some of those wrestlers last game, but I guarantee he wont this game because he spent half of the last game not doing anything.

NOW, he is in a top angle with Vince McMahon which guarantees he stays active.

Ever thought the culmination of the angle may be at 'Mania?  Plus you say now he's in this top angle.....it's being going on for most of the previous game, and he's lost points by losing his temper, getting DQ'd, which he has a habit of doing, looking at the scores this game though, without Hornswoggle, you'd be bottom :hihi:

True, but the point was made, when the rule was brought in several games back the match had to be on the list, or at the least a VERY similar one i.e. Street Fight.....Belfast Brawl.  The point was also made not to include Diva gimmick matches, Bra & Panties etc. it's ALWAYS been scored like that.  We have never given gimmick points for matches such as Royal Rumble which in itself is different.

I know i technically over spent for Kozlov. 100,000 was very very steep but the guy has been gettin me 12pts a week since i got him which has been huge especially from the 4th hole. I am very happy I dropped Murdoch instead of Ashley as well.   Now, if my team can just keep this up.

What gives me hope is, WWE usually has somewhat decent title runs. Kane just won at WM so I cant see him losing real soon. Why would CM punk challenge Kane for the ECW Title? Wouldnt make sense, so i expect CM to not use that till maybe SS.  Hardy just won US gold so I dont see him losing it anytime soon either.

Beth is the wildcard. I dont know what they are gonna do with her and Mickie. That is one title I can definitely see Beth winning back and then their feud continue another month or two.

NEW DRAFTING PROCESS FOR DEBUTANTS AND THOSE ON THE DRAFT LIST

Everyone has to be bid for and to win that bid, 48 hours has to pass by without anyone outbidding you, minimum bids for all is $20,000.

The most you can bid assuming you haven't used any trades is $120,000. 

Now if a Goldberg debuted i am sure at least two people would bid the full amount (Use ALL their trades), so, in that unlikely scenario you would then bid points as well.  As i said though it's a unlikely scenario so that would not happen often. 

Now tactics can come in say someone has 4 trades left ($80,000) someone could outbid them with $81,000 and still have $39,000 left.

If someone bids you cannot bid the same you have to bid an increased amount of at last an extra $1,000 unless they have bid $120,000 in which case you bid that and points to.

Anyone who debuts during the drafting process will just be added to the list, timing's a bitch

Fact is you can't honestly say you didn't know this was a rule.

People have been told in previous games as well that they can't retract bids as you were in this game, hell if we could I'd of retracted my bid for Bam Neely.

If it was a possibility to retract bids then you could make it impossible for someone to win a bid for a wrestler because there's nothing that says you can't retract a bid then place down a fresh one.  I could outbid you, retract it after 24 hours, then make a new bid, then retract it again, and go on and on.....

More so, in games with this bidding system, you and me both have bid on people in an effort to crank up the bids, what's the point if you can just retract your bids, I don't even know why I'm explaining all this, people know this is the way it's worked, don't start pleading ignorance now.

I think in that 48 hour time slot, u should be able to change your mind and retract as long as u are doing something dishonest like intentionally price gouging on new debuts in order to try and bait someone into spending more than they would have.

If you thought Bam was "just" a Heat superstar you would not be bidding for him, as for the analogy that if Kozlov got released would you still have to pay, sure you would, for picking such a chump, it's the risk you take, just like it costs people a trade to drop injured and released people.  Whether they are on the draft list or not you can't retract bids, if you want to have a discussion about a rule change for this at the beginning of the next game then fine.  And 48 hours is up on Hawkins.
