Title: If you come up with a Genius Invention, How do u patent it? Post by: D on February 15, 2008, 02:57:54 AM Journey and I have came up with an AWESOME invention. I could never construct this or even know how to make it work but the idea is a billion dollar idea. Only thing is, How do u go about patenting something like this? Do u have to know how to construct or make the idea work? Or is just having the idea enough?

Then find a sponsor (corporation or individual) who can 'construct' whatever it is that you have invented and sell / market it for you. Negotiate a deal with them such that you get a percentage of the earnings from the invention. If it's as 'AWESOME' as you claim, you should have people queuing to partner up with you.
