Title: Re: Anyone here ever required a locksmiths services? Post by: gilld1 on January 25, 2008, 09:16:36 AM A couple of times because I had locked my keys in my car. Slim jim wouldn't work but it only took a locksmith about 1 minute toget me in. $45 for a minute's work is an outstanding hourly rate!! It was in Indianapolis after the GNR and Metallica show.

Title: Re: Anyone here ever required a locksmiths services? Post by: The Dog on January 25, 2008, 10:28:08 AM locked myself out - cost me close to $400 to get back in (new lock, installation and "late night fee"). I would have been better off sleeping outside for the night :hihi:
Title: Re: Anyone here ever required a locksmiths services? Post by: TAP on January 25, 2008, 10:33:31 AM I think I've mentioned this story before but anyway. When I was living in London in a two flat house, an agent came to show the other flat but tried my lock first and broke the key in the lock. I called a locksmith who let me in. Later that day I managed to lock myself out again (this time my fault) so had to call the same locksmith to let me in again, they felt sorry for me and gave me a huge discount but I felt pretty dumb. That's the only times I've had to call a locksmith. ;D
Title: Re: Anyone here ever required a locksmiths services? Post by: SLCPUNK on January 25, 2008, 02:22:30 PM I had a locksmith do my taxes once after he completed my annual physical.

Usually when I'm with my buddys, we'll just find a way into the house. Hah. Title: Re: Anyone here ever required a locksmiths services? Post by: Jessica on January 26, 2008, 02:47:52 AM To open the door as idiot number 1 had broke the lock and i was returning from the maternity with a 6 day old baby and it was minus 3 celsius outside and he refused to pay to open for the door, so my mother paid 180 euros to have it opened for us.
Title: Re: Anyone here ever required a locksmiths services? Post by: fuckin crazy on January 26, 2008, 03:48:40 AM It is all in how one talks to them. I had a guy unlock my trunk, and punch a new key so I was good to go in about a couple of hours ... for less than $20US. Otherwise, I would have pulled the cylinder and done it myself.
